Amid recent cancellations at HGTV, Tarek El Moussa and Heather Rae El Moussa‘s series The Flipping El Moussas has reportedly gotten the axe. The show won’t be returning for a Season 3, according to People.

Yes, despite their show getting canceled, the El Moussas are going strong. In fact, they’re currently in the process of putting down new roots in a home they recently purchased and are transforming.

“We have some news….We’re moving!!! We are so excited for this new chapter and new adventure for our family,” they wrote in a joint Instagram post in June. They have been continuing to document the renovations on social media in the weeks since.
In July 2025, the couple celebrated the anniversary of the day they met. “Five years ago, our journey began,” they wrote in a joint Instagram post. “From engagement to marriage, welcoming our baby, and all the adventures in between. With every year, we’ve grown together, learned together, and discovered new things about each other. We’ve navigated the toughest times and cherished the best ones. Marriage & relationships take nurturing, navigating & really good communication! Here’s to our meetaversary and many more years of love and chaos.”
Do Tarek and Heather Rae El Moussa have kids?
Yes, Tarek and Heather are parents to one son, Tristan, who was born in January 2023. Tarek also has two children, daughter Taylor and son Brayden, with ex-wife Christina Haack.
In a June 2025 interview with People, Heather teased the possibility of having more kids. “It’s no stress for me, raising kids and being a mom,” she admitted. “It’s the least stressful thing in my life and fulfills me so much. Why would I not want more of that? It’s the most beautiful thing I’ve ever done. So I think that’s kind of your answer right there. But, yeah, I still would love another one, but it has to fit into our life. It’s a huge change, and you have to be really ready for it.”
Do Heather Rae El Moussa and Christina Haack get along?
Yes, Christina and Heather have formed a close relationship, although it did take some time for them to get to the place they’re in today. Back in 2022, Heather admitted on the Today show that she “felt like [she] was always second” to Christina. However, she added, “I think she realized how much I love the kids and that they are number one to me, over anything. So any drama aside, the kids are the most important thing to all of us.”

In 2024, Heather and Tarek teamed up against Christina and her then-husband, Josh Hall, in a house flipping competition called The Flip Off. (Josh left the show after one episode due to his split from Christina) While filming the show, Christina developed a close relationship with her first ex-husband and his wife. Today, they spend a lot of time together as a blended family.
“It’s crazy how far we’ve come & most will never understand how we are friends,” Heather wrote on her Instagram Story in honor of Christina’s 42nd birthday “I’m grateful for our relationship & our ability to rise above the noise! Cheers to you & can’t wait to celebrate you! Xo.”
