Inside ‘Love on the Spectrum’s Madison Marilla & Tyler White’s Love Story Today: Their Next Steps & More

If you’re like us, watching the most recent season of Love on the Spectrum U.S. meant falling in love with Madison Marilla and her Cowboy Sweetheart, Tyler White.
Madison and Tyler first met on Season 3 of Netflix’s Love on the Spectrum, a romantic docuseries that follows people on the autism spectrum who are looking for love. As a main cast member, Madison was set up with multiple dates. However, you could tell from the moment she met Tyler, a country music enthusiast and DJ, that she had been swept off her feet.
Now that Madison and Tyler have officially been together for one year, the Love on the Spectrum couple chatted with Swooon for our Summer Catch-Up series to talk about their relationship, future plans, and more!
According to Madison and Tyler, since we last saw them on Love on the Spectrum, they’re still going strong, and they go on dates every day. But that doesn’t mean they have stopped learning new things about each other every day. Madison admitted to Swooon that she recently learned that Tyler is left-handed. “I found that out when he was signing a release for a Hallmark movie, and I noticed Tyler signed it with his left hand. ” She added, “A few days later, at Outback [Steakhouse], we were bumping elbows, and I have learned to sit to the right of Tyler.” Tyler shared that he recently found out that Madison loves rock climbing and ziplining. As she put it, “I could rock climb in cowgirl boots and sandals.”

This summer, the happy couple is looking forward to many exciting trips. Madison told Swooon, “Tyler is going to Nashville and Houston [where he is] working on a record and announcing at concerts.” When it comes to her summer plans, she shared, “I have trips to NYC and Anna Maria Island coming up.” One of their biggest goals as a couple is to “travel the world together.”
Madison and Tyler also gave Swooon a rare look into some of the romantic dates they have been on since their time on the show. When asked about her favorite date with her Cowboy Sweetheart, Madison revealed, “We went to CMA Fest together in Nashville and got to meet a lot of famous country artists.” She added, “Tyler even got to announce some concerts at the amphitheater at CMA Fest.” Knowing about the couple’s shared love for country music, this four-day-long country music festival was the perfect spot for a romantic weekend getaway. Especially knowing that CMA Fest is a hot spot for alums from The Bachelor, one of Madison’s favorite TV shows.
On the topic of The Bachelor, Madison told Swooon that her boyfriend, Tyler, has begun to watch The Bachelor with her. During their time in Nashville, Madison was delighted to meet Bachelor Nation’s Joey Graziadei and Kelsey Anderson, along with Kaitlyn Bristowe. Beyond CMA Fest, Madison revealed a special connection to a recent Bachelor contestant, long before either of them made their reality television debut. “I went to high school with Juliana Pasquarosa’s cousins at Lincoln-Sudbury High School and met her at their graduation party,” she noted. Madison was reunited with Juliana years later when she “FaceTimed with [Juliana] and Grant [Ellis]” following their season. Madison also shared that she and Tyler crossed paths with Brayden Bowers and Christina Mandrell while dancing beside them in Nashville.

Outside of The Bachelor, Madison told Swooon that her favorite romantic TV show is Emily in Paris, while Tyler’s favorite rom-com is Sweet Home Alabama. The couple also loves watching singing competitions like American Idol, The Voice, and America’s Got Talent together. It’s clear that music is incredibly fundamental to their relationship, especially since Tyler has perfect pitch, which allows him to point out the key of any song. For the record, their favorite love song, “It’s Your Love” by Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, is originally sung in G major.
Disney movies and theme parks are also an incredibly significant connection between the Love on the Spectrum stars. When asked which Disney character their boyfriend/girlfriend is most like? Tyler shared that Madison is like Belle, while Madison responded, “I’d say he’s like Woody.”
As our interview wrapped up, we asked Madison and Tyler to share some advice for anyone who hasn’t found their sweetheart yet. According to the couple, everyone who is still looking should “Be patient, because you never know when you’ll find the right person.”
Love on the Spectrum has already been renewed for Season 4, so we had to ask the couple if we’ll get to see the next chapter of their love story unfold on Netflix. “You’ll have to find out,” they teased.
