‘Love Island USA’s Huda Mustafa Reveals Why She Hasn’t Reunited With Her Daughter Yet

After being isolated in the Love Island USA villa for six weeks, Season 7 contestant Huda Mustafa can’t wait to reunite with her daughter.
On July 16, Mustafa told Swooon that she hadn’t met up with Arleigh, whom she shares with ex Noah Sheline, just yet. During the Family Day episode, the breakout star got emotional when she listened to a message from her daughter. “I just can’t wait to be there on her birthday and surprise her,” a tearful Mustafa said afterward.
Her daughter’s fifth birthday was on July 15 — the reality star has the date tattooed on her wrist — but Mustafa wasn’t able to celebrate with her in person. “She’s out of town with her dad, so even if I flew home, she’s not there,” the reality star said, explaining that she extended her trip in Los Angeles as a result. “I didn’t have my phone. I couldn’t tell him when I was coming back, so I mean, it was inevitable, but it’s OK.”
The finale episode aired on July 13, but the end date wasn’t announced until July 7. Even though things didn’t line up perfectly, the 24-year-old is looking on the bright side. “But whenever she comes back, I’ll be coming back at the same time, so we’ll be able to celebrate as soon as she gets back,” Mustafa said.
Since she got her phone back in time, Mustafa was able to give her daughter a call on her special day. “We talk every day, multiple times a day,” the single mom continued, smiling. “I was just on the phone with her like a few seconds ago. She and I are always talking to each other. I love her to death, and I miss her, and I can’t wait to just squeeze her and pick her up and spin around.”
As soon as she gets back home to Raleigh, North Carolina, Mustafa plans on giving Arleigh her full, undivided attention. “I just want to shower her with love,” she said. “I want her and I to just bond and have a good time and just enjoy my life. I don’t want any distractions. I just want to do things with my baby girl.”
