Destination X cast members Ally Bross and Mack Fitzgerald have officially hard-launched their romance! The couple went public with their relationship on July 17 and have started to open up about their love story.

During her run on the show, Ally had a showmance with Shayne Cureton, and they dated for two months after filming concluded. After her relationship with Shayne ended, Ally and Mack started hanging out because they lived just a short drive from each other. From there, Ally and Mack’s love story blossomed. In a new video, Ally and Mack addressed the Shayne situation and his reaction to their relationship.

Ally told fans not to post any “Shayne slander” online. “Shayne knows about this, and he was extremely supportive, and Shayne is a really, really good person and a really good guy, and he’s very open-minded, and he was very supportive. And we love Shayne, and Shayne loves us,” Ally stressed.

In Ally’s interview with TV Insider after her elimination, she discussed her status with Shayne. “We’re such good friends. I talk to him like every other day. I’m going to visit him next week in Indianapolis. So I mean, I gained lifelong friends out of that and out of the showmance,” she said.

Ally admitted in her video with Mack that they “didn’t like each other” when competing on the show because “she almost saved Biggy instead of me when she had the opportunity to save someone after we worked together in the first challenge, and I’m very emotional,  and I was very hurt by this because I was like, ‘I thought we said we were gonna work together.'”

She added, “We didn’t like each other in the first episode, and then I honestly didn’t like Mack the whole game because I felt like she was just untrustworthy because she almost didn’t save me. Even though she did end up saving me, I still felt like that’s crazy that she didn’t talk to me about this. She just ignored me in the bunks, didn’t talk to me.”

Ally said she “never expected” to be with Mack, but she’s so happy that they’re together now. “I just love her,” Ally gushed.

Mack revealed in a separate post that she’s been “confused” about her sexuality for most of her life. “I knew I didn’t feel the same way about boys as other girls did but I also never felt attracted to any girls, so I didn’t really know where that left me,” she wrote on Instagram. “A few years ago I heard the term asexual for the first time (from bojack) and resolved that that was probably me. I also thought everyone was lying about being in love. I thought it was pathetic and embarrassing and desperate and that everyone was just afraid of being independent so they pretended to be in love. I have multiple times previously said that my absolute biggest nightmare would be coming up and there constantly being another person in my house.”

Everything changed once she got to know Ally. “Now I think love is real and amazing and the best and I want someone (Ally only) to be in my house all the time forever,” Mack continued.  “Anyway, all that to say, I’m so so happy and so in love with the coolest, baddiest, sweetest, smartest, silliest, girly around. Never saw it comin. Shout out Destination X for bringing us together on some tarmac somewhere in Italy (apparently). I’m the luckiest Mack in the world. What a dream.”
