Huda Mustafa didn’t find love during the latest season of Love Island USA, but she quickly sparked romance rumors outside of the villa. Just days after the Season 7 finale episode aired, Huda was spotted holding hands with another reality TV star in Los Angeles.

However, the man on her arm wasn’t someone from the Love Island universe. After photos of their outing started circulating on July 18, fans were quick to ID Too Hot to Handle‘s Louis Russell. It wasn’t a one-off outing either. The two showed up at the July 31 premiere of Weapons together, posing for photos hand in hand.

But are Huda and Louis actually dating, and have they said anything about their relationship so far? At the Love Island USA Season 7 reunion, which aired on August 25, Huda addressed her relationship status. Scroll for all the latest details.

Are Huda Mustafa and Louis Russell dating?

Louis — who also recently starred in Perfect Match Season 3 — and Huda have yet to speak out on the nature of their relationship. Huda was especially tight-lipped about it at the Season 7 reunion. When cohost Ariana Madix asked for an update on her romantic life, Huda avoided answering.

“I can’t speak about my relationships outside the villa,” she said, citing “legal reasons” with Netflix as the cause. She was likely referring to the fact that Perfect Match hadn’t yet dropped its Season 3 finale episode by the time the reunion was filmed. The last episode aired on August 15, three days after the Season 7 cast reunited.

Huda’s response stirred up some confusion from Ariana and her cohost, Andy Cohen. Andy brought up Huda’s red carpet appearance with “someone,” though he didn’t refer to Louis by name. Still, Huda echoed her earlier response as before and apologized. “OK, tell Netflix this was the number one streaming show of the summer,” Andy joked.

Shortly after the reunion filmed on August 12, Huda and Louis continued to fuel the romance speculation. The former uploaded an Instagram Story of herself in a snorkel mask, with a man’s face hidden behind her head. The next day, Louis treated fans to a TikTok video that hinted at his connection with Huda. Promoting his new track, “She Pretty,” the August 18 post shows a hand grabbing Louis’ face. Its manicure and tattoos have fans believing that it belongs to Huda.

Did Louis have a falling out with Miguel Harichi over Huda?

As soon as Huda and Louis were spotted together, fans were quick to point out that the Perfect Match star isn’t all that far removed from the Love Island USA world. He was friends with Season 6’s Miguel Harichi, who’s currently starring in the franchise’s spinoff Beyond the Villa. Around the same time that Louis was linked to Huda, fans guessed that he and Miguel had a falling out, since they no longer follow each other on Instagram.

“So Miguel unfollowed him because of a girl that wasn’t on his season? I can’t,” one fan theorized.

Leah Kateb, Miguel’s girlfriend and fellow Season 6 star, seemed to address the drama in a TikTok comment, underneath a clip of her recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. Leah said that “people need to actually bring back shame.”

When one fan said that Huda’s fans would “come for [her],” Leah responded that she has nothing to do with Love Island USA Season 7, nor has she watched it. “I know nothing I’m literally so confused,” she wrote. “I have no ‘beef’. I’m incredibly proud of everyone who has gone on Love Island bc it takes a lot to put yourself up on a chopping board like this. I wish them all well truly.”

Miguel cleared up the alleged beef via Instagram Stories, calling out Louis by name. “Leah and the girls didn’t unfollow Louis because he was dating Huda,” he wrote in the August 2 post. “They did it because as women the reasoning behind why he was dating her didn’t sit right with them, whether or not they are truly falling for each other at this point I couldn’t care less I wish them nothing but peace but my road is my own and I would prefer if my name and my girls name no longer crossed into their world.”
