‘Love Island USA’s Huda Mustafa Goes Instagram Official with Louis Russell: ‘Off the Market’
Huda Mustafa didn’t find love during Love Island USA Season 7, but several months later, she’s officially “off the market.”
The reality star has been relatively tight-lipped about her dating life since she left the villa, especially during the Season 7 reunion. She refused to share any details about her rumored relationship with Too Hot to Handle‘s Louis Russell — but she gave fans a rare update on September 21. Not only that, but she hard-launched their romance via an Instagram post.
Louis asked the Love Island alum to take things to the next level, per Huda’s post, by transforming a room into a romantic display. He spelled out “Be Mine” with balloons, and he had champagne ready to go on a candlelit table. A slew of white roses, flower petals, and balloons scattered across the floor completed the setup. Huda provided a few other glimpses into their relationship in the Instagram carousel.
Now that the couple is sharing their romance with the world, how long have Huda and Louis been together? What else have they revealed so far about their love story? Read on for a full breakdown of their relationship history.

Just a few days after the Season 7 finale episode aired, Huda was spotted holding hands with Louis in Los Angeles. After photos of their outing at The Grove shopping center started circulating on July 18, fans were quick to ID Louis. A short while later, the two showed up to the July 31 premiere of Weapons together, holding hands on the red carpet.
Louis — who recently starred in Perfect Match Season 3 — and Huda waited about two months after they were linked for the first time to confirm the nature of their relationship. Most notably, at the Love Island USA Season 7 reunion, Huda said, “I can’t speak about my relationships outside the villa,” she said, citing “legal reasons” with Netflix. (When the reunion was filmed on August 12, the finale episode of Perfect Match hadn’t dropped yet, which might be what Huda was referring to.)
Huda’s response stirred up some confusion from cohosts Ariana Madix and Andy Cohen. Andy brought up Huda’s red carpet appearance with “someone,” though he didn’t refer to Louis by name. Still, Huda echoed her earlier response and apologized. “OK, tell Netflix this was the number one streaming show of the summer,” Andy joked.
Following the exchange, Louis straightforwardly addressed his connection to Huda for the first time. In an August 27 TikTok video, Louis mocked Andy’s Netflix comment, but tacked on some commentary. “Shut up. Just shut up, yeah?” he said.
“I am under Netflix so huda’s response is doin that out of respect for me and what I got goin on and if she says she doesn’t want to talk about it it’s as simple as that she ain’t got to,” Louis added in the caption.
Shortly after the reunion filmed on August 12, Huda and Louis continued to fuel the romance speculation. The former uploaded an Instagram Story of herself in a snorkel mask, with a man’s face hidden behind her head. The next day, Louis treated fans to a TikTok video that hinted at his connection with Huda. Promoting his new track, “She Pretty,” the August 18 post shows a hand grabbing Louis’ face. Its manicure and tattoos have fans believing that it belongs to Huda.

Did Louis have a falling out with Miguel Harichi over Huda?
As soon as Huda and Louis were spotted together, fans were quick to point out that the Perfect Match star isn’t all that far removed from the Love Island world. He was friends with Season 6’s Miguel Harichi, who’s currently starring in the franchise’s spinoff Beyond the Villa. Around the same time that Louis was linked to Huda, fans speculated that he and Miguel had a falling out, as they no longer followed each other on Instagram.
“So Miguel unfollowed him because of a girl that wasn’t on his season? I can’t,” one fan theorized.
Leah Kateb, Miguel’s girlfriend and fellow Season 6 star, seemed to address the drama in a TikTok comment, underneath a clip of her recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. Leah said that “people need to actually bring back shame.”

When one fan said that Huda’s fans would “come for [her],” Leah responded that she has nothing to do with Love Island USA Season 7, nor has she watched it. “I know nothing I’m literally so confused,” she wrote. “I have no ‘beef’. I’m incredibly proud of everyone who has gone on Love Island bc it takes a lot to put yourself up on a chopping board like this. I wish them all well truly.”

Miguel cleared up the alleged beef via Instagram Stories, calling out Louis by name. “Leah and the girls didn’t unfollow Louis because he was dating Huda,” he wrote in the August 2 post.
“They did it because as women the reasoning behind why he was dating her didn’t sit right with them, whether or not they are truly falling for each other at this point I couldn’t care less I wish them nothing but peace but my road is my own and I would prefer if my name and my girls name no longer crossed into their world.”
