Are HGTV’s ‘Fix My Frankenhouse’ Stars Mike & Denese Butler Still Together?
Mike Butler and Denese Butler have been renovating “frankenhouses” on HGTV’s Fix My Frankenhouse since 2022. The show features them renovating “hodgepodge” Boston-area homes “that don’t flow” and have quirky features.

Are Mike and Denese Butler still together?
Yes, the Fix My Frankenhouse stars are going strong. In a recent interview with TV Insider, Denese noted that their 13th wedding anniversary was on April 21 and said, “I feel like our relationship has grown [because of the show].”
She added, “I feel like working together and seeing each other day-to-day, we’ve definitely learned how to have time to talk about work and family. That doesn’t always work that way. I feel like problem solving happens a lot quicker in the field and at home. That is something we learned to do very quickly, especially knowing we work together and are around each other all the time now.”

The following month, they got some free time to celebrate their anniversary. “We finally celebrated our 13th anniversary in true fashion this month,” Denese gushed on Instagram. “We hiked, rested, dined, explored new communities, and admired art and architecture. It was a timely experience with my favorite Butler!”
Do Mike and Denese Butler have kids?
Yes, the Butlers are parents to three sons: Ellis, Felix, and Luca. “I feel like we’ve been very intentional, even in Season 1 and before TV, about being in our kids’ lives,” Denese admitted. “I don’t think they really recognize it because we make every effort possible to always be present in the midst of filming and running the business.”

Once the pair’s HGTV careers took off, Mike quit his full-time corporate job, which allows him to be with the family more often. “I’m not walking out the door at 6:30 a.m. to get to my corporate gig,” he explained. “I get to help out with the boys, drop them off at school, and go to job sites. Pick them up after. It has been rewarding.”
Another “rewarding” gig he picked up? Coaching one of his son’s basketball teams!
Where do Mike and Denese Butler live?
In 2019, Mike and Denese moved their family to the Boston area to be closer to other family members. They previously lived in Jersey City, New Jersey.
