Who is Paul Rabil?
Like his partner, Rabil is no stranger to the spotlight, but he made a name for himself on the lacrosse field instead of the stage. The “retired midfielder” — as per his Instagram bio — played for Johns Hopkins University before turning pro in 2008. He played for several teams in his career across the Major League Lacrosse (MLL) and National Lacrosse League (NLL).
Rabil, who was once nicknamed “the LeBron of Lacrosse,” retired in 2021 to focus on the business side of the sport. The 39-year-old serves as the president of the Premier Lacrosse League, which he cofounded with his brother. He also starred in the ESPN original series Rabil’s Places, which explores the history of lacrosse. The Maryland native was previously married to Kelly Berger, a fellow lacrosse player, from 2014 to 2017. After that, he dated actress Eiza González.
How long have Vanessa Kirby and Paul Rabil been together?
The British actress was first linked to Rabil in October 2022, after they were spotted holding hands in New York City. They didn’t make their relationship Instagram official until November 2023. “From the very minute we first met in Des Moines, around the world and back, life is far better, more purposeful and more beautiful with you ❤️” Rabil captioned the post.

Rabil showed his support for Kirby at the Los Angeles world premiere of The Fantastic Four: First Steps on July 21. He posted a photo of Kirby and her castmates on stage to his Instagram Story. The word “Bravo” was written on the photo. Rabil also sat next to his love’s sister, Jules Kirby.

Are Vanessa Kirby and Paul Rabil engaged?
A source told Page Six that Rabil popped the question in December 2024, but the couple haven’t confirmed it themselves yet.
Do Vanessa Kirby and Paul Rabil have kids?
Not yet, but they are soon-to-be parents! In May 2024, the 37-year-old actress revealed her pregnancy at the CCXPMX Film Festival, where she was promoting The Fantastic Four: First Steps.
People asked Kirby what her character, Sue Storm, has taught her about motherhood. “I literally had the lived experience of somebody who was doing this incredibly sacred thing and fulfilling what she needed to do at the same time as a woman and a team member, and that changed me,” she said.
