Liam Neeson & Pamela Anderson Fuel Romance Rumors With Makeout Session on ‘Today’

Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson continued to add to romance rumors with an unexpected PDA moment on Today.
In a commercial bump to their interview on the NBC morning show’s Tuesday, July 29, episode, the actors played into the relationship speculation by seemingly making out before being caught by the camera. Craig Melvin brought up the interaction at the top of his interview with The Naked Gun costars, asking, “What’s the deal here? You’re both single right now. There’s clearly chemistry on display throughout this film. Are you two an item?”
Brushing off the speculation, Anderson stated, “I don’t understand the question.” Neeson didn’t confirm or deny whether he and Anderson are officially a couple, but proceeded to gush over the actress.
“I had never met Pamela before. We met on set, and we discovered we had a lovely, budding chemistry as two actors,” he said of starring in The Naked Gun with Anderson. “And it was like, ‘Oh, this is nice. Let’s not mold this. Let’s just let it breathe,’ and that’s what we did.”
Melvin took their lack of confirmation as a romantic tease, stating, “So, that’s what we’re doing right now. We’re watching the beginning of the breathing of a budding relationship. Okay!”

Neeson poked fun at Melvin for adding to the rumors by pretending to stir an invisible pot. “I’m just saying, America’s here for it. We’re here for whatever this turns into,” Melvin added.
Neeson and Anderson play love interests in the new movie The Naked Gun, which marks the fourth installment in the crime parody film franchise. Neeson stars as the son of Leslie Nielsen‘s Lt. Frank Drebin, while Anderson portrays a femme fatale named Beth. The film follows Frank Jr. as he tries to save his police department from shutting down by solving a murder case.
“We just had this natural chemistry. and we had a great script and a great director who’s, like, a mad scientist when it comes to comedy and timing, and [we] just jumped in,” Anderson told Melvin of working with Neeson.
“And we’re both silly,” Neeson added. “We discovered a silly bone on each other.”
Melvin ended the interview by bringing up how Neeson said he likes to embarrass his kids with his “dad dancing” in a recent interview with People. Anderson told the outlet that Neeson’s song of choice to dance to on set was Right Said Fred’s “I’m Too Sexy.”
As the song began playing in Today‘s Studio 1A, Neeson got up to teach Melvin some of his dance moves.
