Joey Graziadei is “100%” positive that he wants to start a family with fiancée Kelsey Anderson, but when will they start adding kids to the mix? The Bachelor star opened up about his preferred timeline during an interview with Harry Jowsey on the Boyfriend Material podcast.

While Graziadei admitted he doesn’t specifically know when he’ll be ready for kids, he had some ideas about what he wants settled in his life before having children.

“I think the only reason you know you’re ready is if you’re at the point in your life when you’ve done what you want in terms of where you live, and you feel like you have some steady financial situation that’s going to be able to take care [of it],” he explained. “That’s the two steps I’m thinking of: If I feel like I can financially be stable, and I’m in a spot where I don’t think we’re going anywhere anytime soon, that’s when I think I’ll be ready.”

He estimated that this will “hopefully” happen “in the next few years,” but added, “I don’t know when. But that’s kind of the start, right now, is those two things.”

Jowsey asked Graziadei how he thinks he’ll handle having children in the public eye, but the former tennis instructor admitted he won’t have more answers on that until it actually happens. “Part of me likes the idea of keeping that private,” he revealed. “There’s a lot of ways to do that. You see a lot of the real A-list celebrities don’t even show pictures of their baby because they don’t want to deal with it. Other people will show everything in their life because they realize they want to be open with their following. I don’t know yet. It’s a hard and scary thing.”

What’s most important, though, is that he “know[s] [he] wants to have kids” one day. “How I blend in this life with it, that will come, I think, when it comes,” Graziadei added. At the end of the day, he “can’t wait” for when he and Anderson become parents. “It gets me excited,” he gushed. “The idea of being a dad and having our own little team that we kind of get to take on life together … that really excites me.”

Anderson and Graziadei met on The Bachelor in 2023 and got engaged. They went public with their romance in March 2024 and have said they plan to tie the knot in spring 2027.
