More than six years after getting engaged, Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom confirmed their breakup on July 3. The news came in the midst of Perry’s Lifetimes world tour.

When did Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom split?
While the timing of their split is unclear, it appears to have been in the works for quite some time. Their reps released a statement to People on July 3 and revealed that things in the relationship were changing for “many months.”
“Due to the abundance of recent interest and conversation surrounding Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry’s relationship, representatives have confirmed that Orlando and Katy have been shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on co-parenting,” the rep statement said. “They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is — and always will be — raising their daughter with love, stability, and mutual respect.”
The exes share daughter Daisy, who was born in August 2020.
Why did Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom split?
The superstars did not reveal a reason for the breakup, but a source told People that increased time spent apart was to blame. “[They had] too much going on in their lives, which makes it hard to find time for each other and iron out disagreements. When they don’t communicate properly, their relationship dips to a low level,” the outlet’s source said.
The insider added that things were “rocky” for awhile before they pulled the plug, and that the former couple “had been suffering through the same problems that plagued them for years.”
Us Weekly reported that the breakup has been “amicable,” but that Bloom and Perry had been “living apart” amid Perry’s tour, which began in April. Bloom brought their daughter, Daisy, to Perry’s Blue Origin space flight liftoff that same month. The actor later attended Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez’s Venice wedding in June solo.
Is Katy Perry dating Justin Trudeau?
While Perry and Trudeau have not confirmed the status of their relationship, they first sparked romance rumors on July 29 when TMZ published photos of them out to dinner the previous night. The singer and former prime minister dined at Le Violon in Montreal and were also spotted strolling around the city earlier that day.
Then, on July 30, Trudeau was spotted in the crowd of Perry’s concert at Bell Centre in Montreal.
Trudeau was married to Sophie Trudeau from 2005 to 2023. They share three children: Xavier, Ella-Grace, and Hadrien.
