’90 Day: Hunt for Love’ Preview: Chantel’s Behavior Leaves Rocky Confused (VIDEO)
Dating is hard, period. Sometimes the conversation flows naturally, and you can’t stop talking to your date. Other times, the awkwardness settles in quickly. That’s exactly what happens when Chantel and Rocky go on their date in Swooon’s exclusive preview of the August 4 episode of 90 Day: Hunt for Love.
A long pause causes Chantel to break out her phone to grab her “list” of questions. She begins reading off the questions to Rocky, as if she’s interviewing him for a job. It’s totally normal to need a little inspiration, but Chantel doesn’t appear to be interested in Rocky at all.
Even when Rocky answers the questions, Chantel doesn’t ask any follow-ups. When Rocky probes Chantel about her list, she puts her head in her hands. Needless to say, the vibes aren’t great between these two.
“Chantel is clearly beautiful and voluptuous, but the conversation with Chantel is not the easiest,” Rocky says. “For her, I saw that she needed to rely on a bit of a safety blanket, which kind of threw me off when she pulls her phone out to start asking me questions to keep the conversation going. I could tell that she’s a little bit lost, maybe she’s a little bit nervous. So part of me feels like it’s not flowing super easy.”
Earlier, Rocky was genuinely interested in asking Chantel out on a date. Chantel was aware that Rocky was in a bit of a “love square” with Tiffany, Jay, and Carlo, but Tiffany and Rocky hadn’t gone on a date yet. To Chantel, Rocky was fair game. She was feeling herself when Rocky asked her out, and she admitted that it was “nice to feel wanted for a change.”
