‘The Buccaneers’: Who’s the Father of Nan’s Baby — Theo or Guy? (POLL)

The Buccaneers has officially wrapped up Season 2. If you ask us, the next installment can’t come fast enough. Unfortunately, Apple TV+ has yet to confirm if the period romance will return for Season 3. While we anxiously wait for its renewal, we’re ruminating on all of the bombshells that the finale episode dropped, the biggest of all being: Who’s the father of Nan’s (Kristine Frøseth) baby?
Nan’s under the impression that her child was fathered by her husband, Theo (Guy Remmers), which makes the child the heir of Tintagel. At that point, Nan’s earlier actions make a bit more sense: She threatens to expose Theo’s affair with Lizzy (Aubri Ibrag) unless he lets her remain at Tintagel. She thinks that Theo’s mom will force the baby to remain at the castle, but still force Nan out, so she takes steps to make sure that won’t happen. It turns out to be all for nothing when Theo abdicates and announces his plans to divorce Nan. With only Mrs. St. George (Christina Hendricks) and Lizzy knowing about her pregnancy, Nan makes a break for it at the end of the episode.
While we were being fed all of this information, we couldn’t help but wonder: Is the baby really Theo’s after all? Nan believes she’s around four months along and conceived the baby on her honeymoon trip. However, Nan did sleep with Guy (Matthew Broome) the night before her and Theo’s wedding. Plus, even though we didn’t actually see them do it when she ran off to Italy, it’s implied that she hooked up with her true love again. Could she have her due dates mixed up?
Which option to do you think is better for the plot: Theo or Guy as the father? Vote in the poll below!
