‘General Hospital’s Kimberly McCullough Reminisces About Robin & Jason Romance in Rare Post
Jason (Steve Burton) and Robin (Kimberly McCullough) fans, stand up! McCullough, who grew up on General Hospital playing Robin Scorpio, is looking back on her character’s romance with Jason Morgan.
On August 10, the soap vet revealed that she ran into a fan who loved Jason and Robin’s relationship. Robin and Jason have a long history together. They started out as friends before falling in love after Jason’s accident that left him with amnesia. Jason also supported Robin as she dealt with her HIV diagnosis. Even though their romantic relationship didn’t last, Robin and Jason’s bond was unbreakable. They’ve always stayed friends.
“Today an enthusiastic, sweet GH fan recognized me on the street. It’s been awhile so at first I didn’t know she was talking to me- lol. She said ‘thank you for all that you’ve put out in the world through Robin,'” McCullough captioned a photo of young Robin and Jason on Instagram.
The actress said the fan gave her one of the “nicest compliments” she’s ever received. “Made me miss my GH family a whole lot tbh,” McCullough continued. “She said Robin and Jason were her fav. I miss you @1steveburton! It’s funny, so many years later, how I can look at a photo of us when we were babies, and my nostalgic heart is instantly filled with fun memories. Thank you Bridget for being a fan and thank you for saying something. It made my day.”
McCullough continued her trip down memory lane by sharing the same photo of young Robin and Jason on her Instagram Story set to “Baby” by Brandy. She posted another old photo after that. “Ok one more,” she wrote over the picture.
Finola Hughes, aka McCullough’s onscreen mom Anna Devane, sweetly wrote in the comments, “Babies.”
McCullough last appeared as Robin on GH back in 2021. Maybe this fan encounter will inspire a return! The actress has mostly sat in the director’s chair since her last time on the soap. She’s directed episodes of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, Neon, and more.
