‘Big Brother’s Tyler Crispen Debuts Fiancée After Secret Baby: Everything We Know About Her
Big Brother alum Tyler Crispen shocked fans in January when he announced that he had secretly welcomed a daughter and gotten engaged. However, he’s kept the identity of his future wife a secret for the seven months since.

Who is the mother of Tyler Crispen’s child?
Crispen’s bride-to-be and the mother of his daughter, Carter, is Emily Estep. She has been posting about Crispen on social media for several months, but he waited until now to share her with the world.
“It’s been a long time coming don’t ya think?” Crispen captioned a photo dump of the pair, which included milestones including their engagement, Carter’s birth, and more.
Of the decision to keep Estep out of the spotlight until now, Crispen explained on YouTube, “If it’s more work to keep it private than put ourselves out there, it’s like …” Estep jumped in to add, “That’s what we always said, too. Like, if it’s harder to feel like we’re keeping it private, then it’s not worth it, and just be open about it.”
What does Emily Estep do for a living?
While Estep is a “full-time mama” right now, she works as a flight attendant. However, she clarified that she and Crispen did not meet on a flight (more on that down below).
Where is Emily Estep from?
Estep is a midwest gal from Minnesota. She grew up in a suburb right outside of Minneapolis and then eventually moved to the Carolinas, which was “the start” of things she and Crispen have in common, she said.

Crispen was living in Charlotte, North Carolina, before COVID-19, then briefly went home to Minnesota for a bit before relocating back to the East Coast in 2021. Crispen briefly moved to Charlotte to be with her, but they are now living in Hilton Head, South Carolina, together.
How did Tyler Crispen and Emily Estep meet?
It all started with a slide into the DMs in January 2023 (coincidentally, the same date that the pair’s daughter was born two years later)! After a rough 2022, Estep said she was focused on herself and having fun, but she lost a bet to a friend while out at the bar one night and was dared to slide into Crispen’s DMs.
Estep was familiar with the reality star because she watched Big Brother. Although she didn’t watch Crispen’s initial season (Season 20), she tuned in for his return in Season 22 because her grandmother was raving over him. However, she noted that she was a “hater” of Crispen at the time.
When he responded to her DM “quickly,” she “got the ick” at first and didn’t answer. Over the next several months, Crispen liked “a bunch of” Estep’s posts, including an old picture. Eventually, Estep got the urge to message Crispen again, but needed a push from some friends, who urged her to put him on her “close friends” Story instead. He was the only one on it, so she was able to see how quickly he was looking at her stuff. He didn’t respond to any of the Stories, but wound up messaging her the next day and that kickstarted their relationship.
After staying in the DMs “for a hot minute,” they ended up having their first date in Savannah. The rest is history!
When did Tyler Crispen and Emily Estep get engaged?
Crispen proposed to Estep during a Fourth of July trip in 2024. He had the proposal planned for months and already had the ring when Estep found out she was pregnant on Mother’s Day of that year.
However, Crispen still waited to pop the question because he wanted the moment to be special.
