Could Cora & Liam’s ‘Providence Falls’ Love Story Continue? Katie Stevens and Lachlan Quarmby Spill (VIDEO)

Cora (Katie Stevens) and Liam’s (Lachlan Quarmby) time-traveling love story has captured the hearts of Hallmark fans everywhere. Over the course of three parts, we watched Cora and Liam fight for each other in every lifetime. From 1844 Ireland to modern-day Providence Falls, nothing could keep these two apart.
Despite angels urging Liam to help Cora fall in love with another man so she can achieve her destiny, Cora refuses to let Liam go once she regains all of her memories from their past life together. “I choose Liam. In every life, every time,” Cora says. The angels allow Cora and Liam to be together. A year later, Cora still fulfills her destiny with Liam by her side. Katie Stevens and Lachlan Quarmby spoke with Swooon about the ending of Providence Falls and whether or not there’s more of Cora and Liam’s story to tell.
“My favorite part of the ending is that, ultimately, Cora gets to choose for herself, and she chooses Liam in every lifetime, and she can still achieve her destiny because they make each other better,” Stevens told Swooon. Quarmby added, “She got to do it her way.”
While the three parts covered the Providence Falls book trilogy, is this really the end for Cora and Liam? Could Hallmark go beyond the source material?
“I mean, I have ideas,” Stevens quipped. She’d want to head back overseas “because we loved all of the Ireland stuff so much.”
The Bold Type star even revealed her working pitch for a next installment of Providence Falls. “My thoughts were like, if they had to go back to 1844 Ireland for some reason and somehow Agon messes something up where they were supposed to both be able to keep their modern-day memories.”
Stevens added that “something happens” in their time-traveling journey where “Liam doesn’t have any of his modern memories, but Cora does. And then she has to be kind of like Outlander, where she has to be a modern woman back in 1844.” She didn’t know where her story would go from there, but it’s an excellent start!
