Rachael Ray Celebrates ‘Love of My Life’ John Cusimano’s 58th Birthday
One month before their 20th wedding anniversary, Rachael Ray hopped on Instagram to wish her husband, John Cusimano, a happy 58th birthday.
“When you know, you know. 💞,” Ray captioned photos of the two of them and their dog, Bella Boo Blue, on Tuesday, August 19. “Happy Birthday to John Cusimano. Love of my life and the most Wonderful daddy of Bella. We love you!”
Fans sent Cusimano their own birthday wishes in the post’s comments. “Sooo sweet!! Beautiful lil family! Happy Birthday John!! Cheers! 🎂💕🐶,” one Instagram user wrote, while another added, “I love your vibe, energy, and smile. You’re a gorgeous human. Happy Birthday to your man! 🎂.”
“Happiest of Birthday’s to you John. You are the the Parmigiano Reggiano to Rachael’s Pasta Carbonara and of course Bella 🍷🍷🎂,” another fan shared. A different user commented, “Rachael you guys look fabulous. Those pictures are wonderful and especially that little sweet, fur baby.”
Cusimano thanked his wife for the birthday tribute in a comment of his own, writing, “And I love you too!!!❤️❤️❤️.”

Ray and Cusimano tied the knot in 2005, four years after they met at a mutual friend’s birthday party. Earlier this year, Ray made a surprising confession about the couple’s first meeting on a January episode of Tommy DiDario’s I’ve Never Said This Before podcast.
“The first time I saw my husband, I thought he was gay and I tried to set him up on a date with a male friend of mine,” she revealed. “And he said, ‘But I’m not gay.’ And then, I was like, ‘Check please,’ and I could not wait to get him in the sack.”
Ray previously praised her husband for being a loving dog dad with a sweet Father’s Day tribute. (The couple adopted Bella in 2020 shortly after the death of their dog Isaboo.)
“Some bonds are instant. Others are built on belly rubs, burnt toast crusts, and a thousand quiet moments no one else sees. 💙🐾Bella came into our lives five years ago—right after we lost Isaboo,” she captioned a June 15 Instagram post. “Today we celebrate the soft-hearted guy who carries duck toys in his pockets, shares his snacks, and never says no to a cuddle. Happy Dogfather’s Day, John. Happy Gotcha Day, Bella Boo Blue. 💙🐶.”
Ray’s birthday post for Cusimano also comes two days after fans pointed out that she looked “amazing” in an Instagram video promoting her FYI Network shows, Meals in Minutes and Rachael Ray in Tuscany. “You look amazing,” one fan commented underneath the Sunday, August 17, clip, while another added, “My Mom and I are soo glad to see you are doing good. We miss you and your talk show.”
Ray sparked health concerns after she appeared to slur her speech in a September 2024 Instagram clip from Rachael Ray in Tuscany. The following month, she shared on her I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead podcast that she “had a couple of bad falls in the last couple of weeks.”
