‘My Life with the Walter Boys’ Romance Refresh: Where Does the Love Triangle Stand Ahead of Season 2?
Saddle up for more love triangle drama! My Life with the Walter Boys Season 2 is almost here.
In Season 1, we saw Jackie (Nikki Rodriguez) move to Colorado after her family died. Her late mother’s best friend (Sarah Rafferty) offered to take her in. When the teen arrives on the Walter’s ranch, she meets their 10 kids — including the charming, bookish Alex (Ashby Gentry) and his brooding older brother, Cole (Noah LaLonde). Jackie starts dating Alex, but she can’t help herself from being drawn to Cole.
It’s been almost two years since we last caught up with the Walter clan, so we don’t blame you if you can remember what exactly went down with the love triangle — and all of the other romances on the show, for that matter. Keep reading for a refresher ahead of Season 2’s premiere.
Who did Jackie end up with in My Life with the Walter Boys Season 1?
Jackie took herself out of the equation at the end of Season 1, so she technically ended up with neither Cole or Alex. Instead, she headed to New York for the summer. We’ll have to wait and see if she makes a choice in Season 2!
Why did Jackie leave in My Life With the Walter Boys Season 1?
Jackie felt guilty. In the final episode, she found out that Cole fixed her sister’s teapot with a note that said, “Nothing is so broken that it can’t be fixed.” It was something Jackie’s mom used to say. After finding Cole to question his intentions, Jackie initiated a kiss.
The only problem? Jackie was still dating Alex when she locked lips with his brother. To make matters worse, Alex had also just drunkenly confessed that he loves her. When Alex woke up from his alcohol-induced nap, he found that Jackie left a note that read, “I’m sorry.” Jackie decided to leave without telling the Walters. She went to the Big Apple to live with her uncle Richard (Alex Quijano).
“Jackie leaves because she’s a little overwhelmed and doesn’t know if she really fits in or belongs in Colorado,” Rodriguez told Tudum. “She tries to run away from her problems.”
Did Nathan date anyone in Season 1?
Yep, another member of the Walter clan found love in Season 1! The quiet, music-loving Nathan (Corey Fogelmanis) falls for the ambitious editor of the school paper, Skylar (Jaylan Evans). Their relationship wasn’t entirely without its troubles after Nathan came on too strong by writing a song for Skylar early on. However, they made up and were still dating by the end of Season 1.
Who got married at the end of Season 1?
Jackie plansned a picturesque ranch wedding for Will (Johnny Link) and Hayley (Zoë Soul). They said their vows, and the Walter family and their friends had a happy celebration. However, at the very end of the night, Hayley received a text from a mysterious person named Morgan. When Will asked who it was, she lied and said it was someone else. Could the newlyweds be in trouble? Maybe we’ll find out in Season 2!
