Kaitlyn Bristowe and Colton Underwood have definitely experienced their first, but the jury is still out on whether the hosting duo will get their second… season of Are You My First?, that is.

Are You My First? follows 21 eligible virgins, guided by Bachelor Nation’s Bristowe and Underwood. Throughout the first season, these virgins hit the beach to find lasting relationships, with the potential to go all the way. While two couples left the show together, fans are eagerly awaiting official confirmation of who’s still together.

Based on the fan reaction alone, it’s clear that viewers are looking forward to another season of the virgin-centric reality dating show. Following Season 1’s premiere on Hulu, Swooon sat down with Bristowe and Underwood to discuss their hopes for Are You My First? Season 2.

Right off the bat, Underwood shared that during Season 2, “We need a lie detector test right off of the rip,” to find from the very beginning if everyone is telling the truth about their sexual past. He added, “We need to confirm that these people are in it to win it, like, they are virgins through and through.”

The Bachelor Season 23 star continued, “I’m also just excited because, since the announcement of this show, there have been so many virgins that have slid into Kaitlyn and my DMs, saying like, ‘If there’s a Season 2, consider me!’”

Beyond the show’s clear distinction from other reality dating show formats, Bristowe was enthusiastic to share, “I think for the seasons to come, everyone will see that [Are You My First?] is a safe place, like Colton said.”

Looking at fan reaction so far, Underwood told Swooon, “There’s plenty of people out there that are really sort of loving this and loving what the show has to offer.” Specifically pointing towards “the safety of it” and the show’s ability to make sure contestants don’t feel “a ton of pressure.”

In Bristowe’s opinion, Season 2 would continue to “not [feel] like a mockery” of these people’s lack of sexual experience. “It’s gonna be fun to have the virgin puns and virgin games, but there is so much heart in this show.”
