‘Jersey Shore’ Star Sammi Sweetheart Gives Birth to First Child With Fiancé Justin May
After experiencing infertility and a miscarriage in 2024, Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola is now a mom. The Jersey Shore star announced on Tuesday, August 26, that she gave birth to her first child.
“Welcome to the world my rainbow miracle baby 🥹🍼,” she captioned a joint Instagram post with fiancé Justin May. The two also shared the first photos of the newborn and revealed his name.
Vincent Keith May was born on August 20, so Giancola and May kept the news to themselves for about a week before sharing it with the world. “After this very long journey to get here, words cannot describe how blessed and truly grateful we are. Forever living in our baby love bubble until further notice 🥹♥️,” they added, with Giancola concluding, “Ok I can’t stop crying happy tears. Thank you God.”

Her Jersey Shore castmate Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi jumped into the comments section to write, “Welcome to the family baby! ❤️.”
Giancola has been open about the difficulties she went through getting pregnant on Jersey Shore: Family Vacation. Shortly before she and May got engaged in March 2024, she experienced a miscarriage. Her pregnancy was a result of in vitro fertilization (IVF), but the embryo did not survive.
“This has been a very long process. It’s been a lot of shots, it’s been a lot of hormones,” Giancola shared in a November 24 episode of the MTV show. “Just the thought of even being pregnant was such a magical moment for me, and just to have that taken away. It’s devastating for me.”
In February 2025, she and May announced the exciting news that they were expecting again. “After struggling through years of infertility, this is the absolute greatest blessing we could ever possibly ask for!” they shared on Instagram. “We are so thrilled to finally be able to share the news of our little miracle with you all! Our hearts have never been so full of love, we can’t wait to meet you baby!”
