After Selena Gomez was photographed partying it up on a yacht in Cabo with her friends at the end of August, celebrating what was presumably her bachelorette party, new details about been flooding in about her upcoming wedding to Benny Blanco.

A new report from September 16 revealed the pair’s rumored wedding date, and it’s coming up even sooner than we expected! The Only Murders in the Building star and music producer got engaged in December 2024, one year after she first publicly confirmed they were dating. The wedding appears to be happening less than a year following Blanco’s proposal!

When is Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco’s wedding?

Gomez and Blanco will reportedly tie the knot on September 27, according to a new report from The U.S. Sun.

The couple is keeping tight-lipped about their wedding plans and have not publicly revealed when they plan to tie the knot. However, September has been the rumored month for quite a bit now. Daily Mail reported in July that the nuptials will be taking place in September and that it will be a “two-day event” and that “everyone invited has been asked to bring overnight bags to stay for the weekend.”

Since the superstars were on bachelor and bachelorette parties at the end of August, a September wedding certainly seems plausible!

Still, in March, the pair didn’t seem to be in much of a rush to get the ball rolling. “I think every day she’s planned a new wedding in her head,” Blanco told Rolling Stone. “We’re very much ‘take it one day at a time’-type of people. We’re still not over this moment. Literally, while you were talking, she was sitting there staring at her ring.”

Gomez added that the album she and Blanco released earlier this year, I Said I Love You First, was more of a priority than a wedding at the time. “That’s my main focus right now, at least,” she admitted. Of course, they could’ve been trying to throw fans off the scent, or actually didn’t have anything planned yet and were able to hire wedding planners to get it done quickly!

Where is Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco’s wedding?

Gomez and Blanco have not revealed the location of their wedding, but Daily Mail’s source claimed that the affair is taking place in Montecito, California. The U.S. Sun reported, meanwhile, that the event is taking place at El Encanto hotel in Santa Barbara, California.

The outlet’s source said that Gomez and Blanco rented out the entire resort for their guests, and since the hotel is unavailable for bookings that weekend, that tracks!

Who will attend Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco’s wedding?

Of course, the guest list is also being kept under lock and key. One person who seemingly confirmed her attendance, though, is Taylor Swift, who commented on Gomez’s engagement announcement post, “Yes I will be the flower girl.” While she was obviously joking, Swift and Gomez have been friends since they were teenagers, so the pop star’s attendance is certainly expected.

Gomez’s Only Murders in the Building costars Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Meryl Streep are likely invited, as well, along with the “Single Soon” singer’s tight-knit group of non-famous friends who joined her on her apparent bachelorette party.

Will Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco have kids?

Yes, Gomez and Blanco have been open about their desire to start a family together.

“I don’t know what will happen, obviously, but I love children,” Gomez said when she and Blanco appeared on the On Purpose With Jay Shetty podcast in March. “I have an 11-year-old sister that I absolutely adore. … So absolutely, when that day comes, I’m so excited for it.”

Gomez previously admitted to Time, “I was going to adopt at 35 if I had not met anyone.”

In 2024, she opened up about how her past medical issues will affect her ability to carry a child of her own one day. “I have a lot of medical issues that would put my life and the baby’s in jeopardy. That was something I had to grieve for a while,” she said in an interview with Vanity Fair. However, she’s open to other ways of bringing a child into her life.

“I find it a blessing that there are wonderful people willing to do surrogacy or adoption, which are both huge possibilities for me,” she said. “It made me really thankful for the other outlets for people who are dying to be moms. I’m one of those people. I’m excited for what that journey will look like, but it’ll look a little different. At the end of the day, I don’t care. It’ll be mine. It’ll be my baby.”
