’90 Day’ Star Chantel Everett Teases Mom’s ‘Hunt for Love’ Tell All Visit: ‘Expect the Worst’
During the preview for the 90 Day: Hunt for Love Tell All Part 2, TLC revealed that Chantel Everett would not be the only Family Chantel star to take the stage. Karen Everett appears during the Tell All to comment on Chantel’s new relationship, and the Hunt for Love star revealed, “There’s some things that I like to keep from my mom because she blows everything out of proportion.”
Leading up to the second half of the Hunt for Love Tell All, Chantel sat down with Swooon to discuss what viewers can expect from her mother’s return to the franchise and Ashley’s franchise debut.
On the day of the Tell All, the 90 Day Fiancé star was focused on introducing her castmates to her off-camera connection. She revealed, “I was so excited for everyone to meet Ashley,” adding, “I am in such a good place with her, and I feel like this is the happiest that I’ve been in a very long time.”
According to Chantel, she was not aware that her mother would appear on Hunt for Love until she was on set for the Tell All. She revealed, “I wasn’t worried going into the Tell All, but when I saw my mom come out, then I panicked. That was worrisome to me because I did not know that she was going to be there.”
While her mother’s appearance on the new 90 Day show was not a total shock, as she is certainly a fan favorite family member in the 90 Day franchise, nothing could have prepared Chantel for arriving on set and seeing that her mother was there, too. She admitted, “I kind of had an idea that she might show up. But when I saw her, I was like, ‘Oh, my God.'”

Of course, Karen’s appearance on the Tell All Part 2 did not disappoint. Throughout the preview, she can be seen swinging trash bags and arguing with “Ashley Bashley” over what host Sukanya Krishnan chalked up to a disagreement over a text.
“I hope that 90 Day fans can be inspired by what I’ve gone through,” Chantel told Swooon. After the Tell All Part 1 alone, Chantel was proud to share, “I have had a lot of people come into my DMs and tell me that they have been married, divorced, and started dating the same sex later in life. It’s really refreshing to know that it’s not such an uncommon thing. It’s completely normal, completely common. And they’re not the only ones.”
Looking back at her own experience, she revealed, “I felt like I was the only one. So when they came into my DMs and started telling me their stories, it was really, really reassuring that — I don’t know, it felt like a little support system.”
When it comes to what fans can expect from the conclusion of her story on 90 Day: Hunt for Love, Chantel teased, “I feel like you can expect the worst from my mom for sure, because she has not ever approved of anybody who I’ve ever dated. And as far as Ashley, she can hold her own.” Ultimately, Chantel told Swooon, “It’s explosive, it’s really confrontational, uncomfortable for me, and should be entertaining for the viewers.”
