Brooks Nader received a shocking confession from her parents, Holland Nader and Breaux Nader, while visiting them in Louisiana for Easter on Episode 4 of Love Thy Nader. After finding photos from her wedding to ex-husband Billy Haire in her mom and dad’s home, Brooks learned that Holland and Breaux were still keeping in touch with Billy, whom she divorced in 2024.

While Brooks has spoken at length about her relationship with ex Gleb Savchenko on the reality show, she’s been less open about her marriage, but finding the photos led her to make some rare comments about the situation.

“I think my parents get really attached whenever we have a partner,” Brooks admitted. “Obviously, with my ex, I was with him since the time I was 18 to 27, so they grew very fond of him, which I totally understand and respect. However, I think that when things go south and it doesn’t work out, there should be no questions. It should be, ‘We’re loyal to our daughter.'”

The supermodel asked her dad, who has four daughters, if he was “sad” to have “lost a son” in the divorce. He hesitated, then eventually said, “Look, you and Billy have your own relationship, I have my own relationship.” Brooks was shocked by this information, even more so when Breaux added, “He’s my golfing buddy.”

“Y’all should stop replying to Billy because that’s inappropriate behavior,” she said. Holland then dropped another bomb when she revealed she texted Billy on Christmas a few months earlier. “I mean, we wish the best for him, too,” she told her eldest daughter.

It’s not just Holland and Breaux who are in touch with Billy. Brooks’ sister Grace Ann admitted in a confessional, “I understand Brooks not wanting my parents to communicate with her ex-husband, but at the same time, she has to realize that this guy was in our family. He was my brother since I was 18 years old. He really helped me in tough times, and we still talk every now and then. I choose not to tell Brooks just because I know she would freak out and I would probably be mad, too, if I were her. But I also think what someone doesn’t know doesn’t hurt them.”

When Breaux pointed out that Billy was “part of our family” (Brooks married him in 2019), the Dancing With the Stars alum referenced the operative word “WAS” in her dad’s sentence.

“In my family, there’s nothing worse than the D-word,” she said in a confessional. “I got divorced. I feel like no matter what I accomplish, none of that will erase the shame my parents have around my divorce. When I told my parents I was getting divorced, you’d think I killed somebody. They were like, ‘This is the worst decision ever. Divorce is a sin. You’re breaking a promise you made to God.’ That lack of support was the hardest part for me.” She then got emotional before adding, “I just wish if they could go back they’d be like, ‘I love you no matter what and I support you and how can I help?'”

Brooks made her feelings about Billy clear after her dad said, “I have a good relationship with him and you should have a good relationship, too. Life’s too short to hold grudges and all that” She replied, “He’s evil to me. I don’t hold a grudge, I’m just saying to y’all stop texting him.”
