Huda Mustafa’s Rumored Boyfriend Louis Russell Fires Back at Andy Cohen After ‘Love Island USA’ Reunion
The Love Island USA drama doesn’t stop in the off season.
Even though the reunion episode has come and gone, officially putting an end to Season 7, fans are still unpacking everything that went down. During the two-hour special, cohosts Andy Cohen and Ariana Madix questioned breakout star Huda Mustafa about her post-villa dating life, which led to a particularly buzzy moment when the Season 7 star refused to answer due to “legal reasons.”
“It’s Netflix,” Huda explained. “I’m not allowed to talk about it.”
Andy pressed for more information by bringing up Huda’s recent red carpet appearance with rumored boyfriend Louis Russell — though he didn’t refer to him by name — but Huda didn’t budge. In response, Andy joked, “OK, tell Netflix this was the number one streaming show of the summer.”
It didn’t take long for Huda’s rumored new beau, who looked for love in Netflix’s Too Hot to Handle and Perfect Match, to speak out about the exchange. Louis fired back at Andy in a TikTok video. “Well, you tell Netflix that we’re the number one streaming show…” he said in the August 27 post, mimicking Andy’s words. “Shut up. Just shut up, yeah?”
The reality star elaborated further in the caption. “I am under Netflix so huda’s response is doin that out of respect for me and what I got goin on and if she says she doesn’t want to talk about it it’s as simple as that she ain’t got to,” he added. Perfect Match Season 3, which Louis was a part of, was still airing at the time the Love Island USA reunion was filmed.

Huda addressed the reunion moment in question via her own social media. “I prefer to share details about my relationships on my own terms, not for a TV show it has nothing to do with,” she wrote in a TikTok Story. “Repeated pressure to open up, especially when it’s excessive, makes me uncomfortable, and I’d appreciate if that could be respected. But you’ll edit out the amount of times you asked and tried making others answer for me.”
Netflix has since joined the party, too. After the reunion aired, the streamer briefly changed its X bio to read, “DON’T @ ME IDK!!!”

Huda and Louis haven’t provided fans with any more details about their alleged romance. They were first linked days after Love Island USA Season 7 finale dropped on July 13, which saw Huda leave the villa single. Since then, the duo have fueled speculation through their social media posts. In one Instagram Story, Huda posed for a selfie in a snorkel mask, and the man next to her turned his face away from the camera. On Louis’ part, he uploaded a TikTok video which featured a tattooed hand — possibly Huda’s — grabbing his face.
