‘The Summer I Turned Pretty’: Belly Enters Her Paris Era in New Season 3 Trailer (VIDEO)
If you were left breathless at the end of The Summer I Turned Pretty‘s Season 3 episode, “Last Kiss,” then you weren’t alone, as Belly’s (Lola Tung) decision to leave for Paris after breaking off her engagement to Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno) put her directly in the path of Conrad (Christopher Briney). Now, a new trailer is offering insight into what’s happening next after that airport cliffhanger, which saw Belly spot Conrad and seemingly step in his direction.
Whether or not she actually speaks to Conrad remains unclear, but the trailer reveals that Belly is getting on the plane to Paris, thankfully, to embark on a new chapter of finding herself. As the minute-and-a-half tease unfolds, we follow Belly as she arrives in France, taking the Metro, a bus, and roaming the streets.
We eventually see her settle into a job at a cinema and make new friends, among whom appears to be Heartstopper‘s Corinna Brown, who, according to her talent page, is playing a character named Maeve.
While Laurel (Jackie Chung) worries about her daughter from afar, Belly is seemingly given the room she needs to discover what’s next for herself. As Belly explores what life has to offer in Paris, it seems that bestie Taylor (Rain Spencer) will make an appearance as they celebrate New Year’s Eve together.
Could a new year turn a new leaf in terms of Belly’s love life? It certainly seems possible as the next moment teases her receiving a letter from none other than Conrad Fisher. Based on the return address on the envelope, he will return to California to finish up his schooling. Will they be able to grow back together after their individual journeys? If the show sticks to Han’s book, it would seem things are certainly looking up for Team Conrad.
