’90 Day’ Stars Loren & Alexei Reveal Surprising Wedding Detail As They Celebrate 10th Anniversary

One of 90 Day Fiancé‘s most beloved couples, Loren and Alexei Brovarnik, are about to hit a major milestone in their relationship!
Viewers first met Loren and Alexei in 2015 when they made their reality television debut on Season 3 of 90 Day Fiancé, where they documented their cross-continental engagement, K-1 Visa process, and wedding for the world to see. Since then, they have appeared on 90 Day Fiancé: What Now?, 90 Day: Foody Call, 90 Day Diaries, 90 Day Fiancé: Pillow Talk, 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?, and their own spinoff series, Loren & Alexei: After the 90 Days.
Now that the 90 Day stars will celebrate their 10th anniversary as a married couple, Loren and Alexei sat down with Swooon to discuss their decade of love, tenure in the 90 Day community, their life now, and more. After all, now that they’ve hit 10 years, they can assure fans, “We have 100 more to go!”

According to Loren, her and Alexei’s meet-cute is her “favorite conversation ever” because “it was definitely not love at first sight, but it was like an unspoken hookup.” Looking back, Loren recalled, “We met very unexpectedly on a birthright trip. I was the counselor, if you will, the staff leader. Alex was the quote-unquote medic, who definitely didn’t help me.” From the moment she saw their “hot” medic, Loren told the rest of the staff, “I’m definitely gonna hook up with the medic,” which she assured us was not allowed. “I looked at Alex and I said, ‘Do you have a girlfriend?’ He said ‘Nope.’ And here we are 12 years later, gonna be married 10.”
Alexei’s first impression of Loren was a little different. “I just thought it’s another, you know, obnoxious little American that doesn’t know what she’s doing,” he said. But don’t worry, some things never change, as Alexei assured Loren, he still feels that way, “Basically, I just found some other angles to her also that I like.”
During their first night together, Alexei “ran away out of the room in the middle of the night.” However, Loren continued to pursue him, saying, “If you ever try and leave my room again without telling me, so I can’t lock my door, it’ll be the last time you leave here.”
After a year and a half of video calls and at least seven visits to Israel, Alexei proposed to Loren. Thus began the K-1 Visa process, leading to a nine-month engagement. “We applied, then it took time to get the visa, and then it got delayed, delaying the wedding.” According to Loren, “He showed up 35 days before our wedding.”
Looking back at their beach wedding, Alexei fondly reminisced, “I remember you walking down the aisle, your parents bringing you. I remember the rabbi getting scared of the drone over there, thought he was under attack.”
The couple also shared a laugh, recalling a mishap during the Jewish tradition at the end of the ceremony where the man smashes a glass. According to Loren, he cut his leg and foot: “Well, people usually do a light bulb. Not me. I got a thick, solid glass because it matched the color of our accent color for our wedding, and he has a scar to this day to remind him.” Alexei told Swooon, “I didn’t even feel it the first moment. There was so much adrenaline, I didn’t even feel it. After, I felt a squishing noise, a wet noise in my shoe, and it was all blood in there.”
After the newlyweds soaked in their first taste of married life, they welcomed their first son, Shai (5), in 2020. Loren remembered, “Becoming a first-time parent was scary. It was COVID, and we didn’t have anybody, like nobody to help us, nobody to show us how to swaddle, nobody to walk us out of the hospital. We literally learned everything. We didn’t have baby classes, nothing. We just rolled with it and then rolled into two and three.”

Since then, they have grown into a family of five, with Asher (4) and Ariel (3). Regarding their three children, Alexei told Swooon, “They are not calm, and they are not gentle, but that’s good. That’s a good thing.” At the same time, Loren commented, “They’re like such a perfect blend of both of us, personality-wise.”
The 90 Day couple also made it clear that their kids are not iPad kids. Instead, they take a more social angle at parenting. “We don’t do tablets, and we don’t do electronics. I mean, they watch TV, though. But we’re very much old-fashioned in the sense that they go to sports.” The couple also revealed that their family has a dance party at least once a week.
After 10 years together, Loren and Alexei are looking forward to finally going on their honeymoon. “We’ve gone on little trips, but not on a big honeymoon kind of trip,” Loren revealed to Swooon. “We haven’t been on a trip for more than four days without our kids. To me, that’s not a honeymoon, you know? Like, I want a good, solid trip where I know I’m never gonna get to go again. And that kind of guilts him into spending the money to take me there.”
While it’s clear that Loren and Alexei are very much in love, that doesn’t mean that their relationship hasn’t come without its challenges. “I think life is so fast for us all the time that the challenge is to slow down sometimes,” Alexei admitted. “We’re like from show to show, from kid to kid, from move to move.”
While Alexei is trying to slow things down, Loren is ready to plan what comes next. “That’s where we’re at a crossroads,” she revealed. “We’re trying to plan our three-year plan and figure out what we want to do and where we want to be kind of thing. So I guess that’s gonna be the next chapter.”
After a decade with the franchise, Loren and Alexei are still active members of the 90 Day Fiancé community and are currently being featured on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? Season 9. That being said, the couple revealed that they “have never watched it” because they want to avoid reliving their reality TV moments. While they don’t know exactly where in their journey viewers are, Loren and Alexei teased that what’s ahead is a “bumpy road.”
