‘Providence Falls’ Stars Katie Stevens & Lachlan Quarmby Swoon Over Romantic Moments, Onscreen Kisses & More (VIDEO)
We’re still in our Providence Falls era, to be honest. Hallmark’s three-part television event was the perfect mix of romance, fantasy, and a period drama.
Who didn’t love watching Cora (Katie Stevens) and Liam’s (Lachlan Quarmby) love prevail in every lifetime? Whether it was 1844 Ireland or modern-day Providence Falls, these two lovers were destined to be together no matter what. When you defy the angels and still get a happily ever after (following some intense yearning), you know you have an epic romance on your hands.
When Stevens and Quarmby stopped by Swooon’s offices, we decided to put these two head-to-head for a new edition of Knock Your Blocks Off: Swooon Edition. With each heart-shaped block they managed to pull from the stack, the Hallmark actors had to answer a romance-related question.
First up was Stevens, and she had to answer: “What’s your character’s most romantic moment?” The Bold Type star was a true overachiever (we love that for us) and picked one for each Providence Falls movie. For the first movie, she chose the zipper scene, followed by the moment Cora is carried out of the lake by Liam in the second movie. Her pick for Cora’s most romantic moment in the third movie was a “toss-up between the spaghetti scene and the reveal.” As for Quarmby, “Mine was the first time I saw Evan Roderick.” Swoon.
Quarmby’s first block had him reveal his love language. Without hesitation, the actor said, “Physical touch, and then a huge gap and then the other four.”
What about their first TV or movie crush? For Stevens, she went with Heath Ledger from 10 Things I Hate About You. Quarmby sweetly name-dropped Providence Falls’ Cora McCloud! When it comes to the best movie kiss, Quarmby admitted Spider-Man‘s upside down kiss is hard to beat. For her favorite TV couple, Stevens went with another beloved time-traveling couple: Outlander‘s Jamie and Claire.
