‘Match Me Abroad’: Monica’s Love Triangle Ends With Shocking Choice (VIDEO)
If you thought Belly’s The Summer I Turned Pretty love triangle was messy, just wait until you meet Match Me Abroad‘s Monica Durazo.
During Season 2 of TLC’s Match Me Abroad, which airs on Sundays right after 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?, Monica traveled from her home in California to Brazil in search of lasting love with an international partner. Paired with a vibrant local matchmaker named Luiza Vono Ferreira, Monica expected dating to get far easier. Instead, she found herself torn between two local hunks, Bernardo and Bruno.
In Swooon‘s exclusive clip of Match Me Abroad Season 2 Episode 12, Luiza forces Monica to choose once and for all which man she wants to be with. The catch? Bernardo and Bruno are both in the room with her!
According to Luiza, the decision should be simple, as she sees Bruno has put in effort, while Bernardo only did the bare minimum. However, she makes it clear, “This is my opinion, and I can help her, but she’s the one who will live with her decision. She will be waking up every day with this decision, not me.”
As for Monica, the decision is much harder. She shared, “I’m not OK. And even though it’s a short time, I am a different person because of them.” That being said, she reveals, “I know that there’s one here that has a lot of potential, and so just to see where it goes… I’m gonna choose Bruno.”

Immediately, Bruno begins to kiss Monica’s hand, overjoyed by her choice to pursue only him. With both Luiza and Bruno on her side, it appears that Monica has made the right decision. That is, until the camera pans out to show Bernardo in the chair next to the newly-minted, smooching couple, experiencing emotional whiplash over the whole situation.
“I’m so happy,” Bruno smiles, before continuing, “It’s a hard decision. Oh, it’s a very hard situation.” As Bruno continues to kiss Monica’s hand, she turns to Bernardo to say, “I’m so sorry.”

As Bernardo remains silent, Bruno continues to tell Monica, “I’m so happy. I’ll be your best friend. You can count on me.” Talk about adding insult to injury! We don’t know about you, but we cannot wait to see what happens next.
