‘Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story’ Trailer: Holland Roden & Matthew Daddario’s Romance Kicks Off (VIDEO)
It’s officially football season, and Hallmark Channel knows it. The network dropped the first trailer for Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story, the highly anticipated follow-up to Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story. Brand-new characters mean a brand-new romance to swoon over.
Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story centers around two lifelong friends, Morgan (Holland Roden) and Gabe (Matthew Daddario), who set out to find the identity of a Secret Santa who’s been sending a Buffalo Bills Christmas ornament to Morgan’s Uncle Tommy (Joe Pantoliano) year after year. In the trailer, Morgan and Gabe believe this search will be an easy holiday quest, but it turns out to be more complicated than they anticipated.
Morgan and Gabe uncover more than just the identity of the ornament sender — they finally realize their true feelings for each other. “Your eyes light up when you talk about him,” Patti Murin‘s character tells Morgan. A very perceptive Santa tries to nudge Gabe to open up to Morgan. “You should just tell her how you feel,” Santa says.
The Hallmark movie will feature plenty of familiar faces — on and off the field. Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story also stars Tracy Pollan, Caroline Aaron, and Steve Schirripa.
Bills safety Damar Hamlin makes a cameo appearance, as does head coach Sean McDermott, running back Ray Davis, offensive tackle Dion Dawkins, and more. Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story will premiere during Hallmark Channel’s 16th annual Countdown to Christmas programming event. It’s unclear if the movie exists in the same universe as Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story.
Tyler Hynes, who played Derrick in the first movie, told Swooon that he’d be more open to continuing Alana (Hunter King) and Derrick’s story if there was the right opportunity. Maybe Alana and Derrick will be in the stands if the Chiefs play the Bills in Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story!
