Nearly 20 years before Jesse Palmer became the host of The Bachelor franchise, he was the lead of the show himself. Palmer starred on Season 5 of The Bachelor in 2004.

During the finale, he gave his final rose to Jessica Bowlin. Although they did not get engaged, they began a relationship and continued dating after filming ended. However, it didn’t last long.

Scroll down for a refresh on what happened to Bowlin and Palmer, as well as what she’s up to now.

What happened to Jessica Bowlin and Jesse Palmer?

The finale of The Bachelor Season 5 aired in May 2004, and by that June, Bowlin, who was 22 at the time, and Palmer, who was 25, had broken up. With Palmer living in New York and Bowlin in California at the time, long distance was one of the main factors in the breakup.

“Jessica and I shared an incredible romantic journey on the show that began with a friendship that remains strong today,” Palmer said at the time. “We simply realized that, individually, our next steps take us in different directions.”

Bowlin added, “With too much distance and too little time, these were not ideal circumstances in which to start a relationship. Jesse is a great guy and has a wonderful family. Who knows what the future holds?”

Is Jessica Bowlin married?

Yes, Bowlin has been married to Omar Rawi since 2013, per a now-deleted Facebook page. The two tied the knot in Manhattan Beach, California, and have two children together.

Rawi is a real estate development professional in Newport Beach, California, according to his LinkedIn. He previously worked at JPI, Lincoln Property Company, and Greystar.

What is Jessica Bowlin doing now?

Bowlin has maintained a very private life since her time on the ABC dating show. She does not have public social media accounts. However, her old Instagram bio revealed that she is an attorney.

PopSugar reported that Bowlin graduated from East Carolina University and Chapman University Law School before passing the California bar exam to become a licensed lawyer.
