Liam Hemsworth and Gabriella Brooks are engaged! Six years after the actor’s split from Miley Cyrus, whom he was married to for less than a year before their separation, he popped the question to Brooks.
Although Brooks first sparked engagement rumors in August when she was photographed wearing a ring on her left hand, she officially confirmed the news via Instagram on September 12. She shared a photo with Hemsworth, and the dazzling sparkler on her left ring finger was on full display. Another shot in the photo dump showed a close-up of the engagement ring.

Brooks and Hemsworth were first linked in December 2019. Paparazzi caught them having lunch with his parents. Although it’s unclear how the two met, they are both Australian. They quarantined in Australia during the COVID-19 pandemic before eventually moving to Los Angeles together.

Of their decision to keep their relationship private, Brooks previously told Stellar magazine, “My personal relationship is very, very important and very sacred to me. And I feel like in an industry where so much is put out on show, there are some things you just want to keep to yourself. I completely understand [the interest]. But at the end of the day, I guess I just like having that for me.”
