[Warning: The following contains MAJOR spoilers for The Wrong Paris.]
Will you accept this spur?
Netflix’s newest rom-com is a love letter to romance reality TV, placing a country girl with no interest in finding love at the heart of a Bachelor–style show. The Wrong Paris stars iCarly‘s Miranda Cosgrove as Dawn, an aspiring artist with a dream of attending art school in Paris (France). To afford the airfare and steep tuition costs, Dawn’s sister (Emilija Baranac) convinces her to audition for The Honey Pot, a dating show filming its next season in Paris.
Hoping for a swift elimination, allowing her to cash in her appearance fee ASAP, Dawn views the show as a one-way ticket to her dream. However, Dawn and her fellow contestants are in for a rude awakening when they land in Paris, Texas, only 45 minutes away from Dawn’s house. Even worse, the “Honey” is Trey McAllen III (Pierson Fodé), a guy Dawn flirted with at a bar only days prior. Unable to leave the competition without admitting fraud, Dawn attempts to scheme her way out of the show, hiding her feelings for Texas’s most eligible bachelor.
So, do Dawn and Trey end up together? Does Dawn make it to the right Paris? And if she does, then who wins The Honey Pot? Find out all this and more in our complete breakdown of The Wrong Paris below!

Do Dawn and Trey end up together in The Wrong Paris?
Yes, Dawn and Trey do end up together at the end of The Wrong Paris. Unfortunately for the other Honey Pot contestants, Dawn and Trey have a connection that transcends the competition, causing him to fight for her to stay and put down her walls when they are off camera. That being said, every good reality TV show has a “villain” who tries to get in the way of the fan-favorite couple, and The Honey Pot is no exception. Enter: Lexie Miller (Madison Pettis), an established influencer who serves as the antithesis of everything that Dawn stands for.
Threatened by Dawn’s connection with Trey, Lexie digs through Dawn’s bag, finding her admissions letter to the art school in Paris, France. As Dawn and Trey return from an unsanctioned outing to her hometown, Dawn is scolded by producers Carl (Torrance Coombs) and Rachel (Yvonne Orji), as Lexie swoops in to tell Trey about the real reason Dawn came on the show. Seeing as The Honey Pot ends with a choice between the “Honey” and the money, Trey believes that Dawn has been using him to get her hands on the jackpot at the end. And honestly, if Trey had come to this conclusion only days prior, he wouldn’t have been wrong.
Following Lexie’s snooping, Trey decides to send Dawn home at the final six spur ceremony. You read that right, Trey hands out spurs instead of roses because he is a dignified cowboy, and The Honey Pot is definitely not The Bachelor. Heartbroken, Dawn follows through on her plan to attend the Parisian art school.

How does The Wrong Paris end?
Once Trey makes it down to his final two women, Dawn’s rival, Lexie, and her sweet roommate, Jasmine (Christin Park), the Honey Pot producers announce a surprise trip to Paris, France, for the finale. Knowing that Dawn is also in the city, Rachel tracks her down to let her know that contestants are allowed to forfeit their winnings for a chance to talk to Trey after they are eliminated, just as Cindy/Cinderella (Madeleine Arthur) had done back in Texas.
Taking a leap of faith, Dawn shows up at the finale with everything she had won during challenges on the show, along with their payment for her appearance. When she comes face-to-face with Trey, she explains that she gave up the money for art school, admitting, “You’re my dream now, too. And I wanted you to know that.” He quickly forgives her but tells her she has to stay at school in Paris, offering to pay for it himself, stating, “You shouldn’t have to choose between Paris and us. I think I know of a way that you can get both.” Looking Dawn in the eyes, he tells her, “They can’t force us to stay apart.”
Even though Dawn gave up her winnings to return to the show, Trey tells her that she can earn it back by winning the whole Honey Pot. He then pops the question, “Will you take the money or will you take the ‘Honey’?” Rigging the system, just as he advised, Dawn responds, “I love you, too, so much. And I’m going to take the money.” As the Eiffel Tower twinkles behind them, Dawn and Trey share a kiss, causing Carl to question, “Did they just hack my show?”
