‘The Summer I Turned Pretty’ Romance Recap: Do Belly & Conrad End Up Together in the Finale?

Well, The Summer I Turned Pretty has officially come to an end with the Season 3 finale on Wednesday, September 17, which means we finally know how all of the characters’ storylines ended.
Of course, the number one question on everyone’s mind is: Who did Belly (Lola Tung) end up with? Did she reunite with her original true love, Conrad (Christopher Briney)? Or did her almost husband, Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno), come back to sweep her off her feet? Or did Jenny Han pull a fast one on us and have Belly end up alone?

Who did Belly end up with on The Summer I Turned Pretty?
Conrad and Belly are officially endgame! In the finale, Conrad made a pit stop in Paris on the way to his work conference in Brussels, and his first stop was Belly’s apartment. Even though he was quickly disheartened to see her get off the back of Benito’s (Fernando Cattori), he later learned that the two weren’t an item after Belly turned down Benito’s offer to go to Mexico for his grandmother’s birthday.
At first, Belly was skeptical about Conrad’s visit, but she ended up giving him a tour of the city, including one of her personal favorite spots where she spent a lot of time while she was still getting acclimated to her new life in Paris. By the end of the day, Belly had invited Conrad to attend her birthday dinner, where he met her friends and they continued to rebuild their connection.

After sharing a dance by the water and reminiscing about the rockiest moments in their relationship (prom and Susannah’s funeral), Conrad and Belly shared a passionate kiss and went back to their apartment, where they slept together — all to the tune of Taylor Swift‘s “Dress.”
But the next morning, she was having second thoughts and wasn’t sure if she and Conrad had only ever gotten together in the first place because his mom got sick again. He assured her that he would’ve fallen in love with her no matter what, but instead of letting him in, Belly pushed him away. Their scene ended with a callback to Season 1 with Conrad telling her, “Happy birthday, Belly.”
It didn’t take long for Belly to realize that she had made a big mistake. She chased Conrad to the train station and confessed her love. They didn’t go back to Cousins that summer, but they did eventually, and the series ended with them back at the house where they first fell in love.
Who did Jeremiah end up with on The Summer I Turned Pretty?
Jeremiah had a happy ending, too. After six months of living with Denise (Isabella Briggs), the two developed a close relationship, which eventually culminated in them sharing a kiss after she helped him prepare for his first big event as a chef.
While it’s unclear where their storyline went after she moved to San Francisco for work, Jeremiah at least seemed to have moved on from the Belly of it all. One thing we didn’t get, though, was Jeremiah’s reaction to Conrad and Belly officially being back together.
Did Steven and Taylor end up together on The Summer I Turned Pretty?
Yes, Steven (Sean Kaufman) and Taylor’s (Rain Spencer) love story was wrapped up with a pretty bow. Although they had a rough go of it at the beginning of the finale — she was pissed he didn’t tell her about the work opportunity in San Francisco — they eventually hashed it out on the dock by the water.

Taylor agreed to move to San Francisco with Steven so their relationship could stay intact. Even though she was crushing it at her PR job in Boston, she pointed out that she’d have the same opportunities in San Francisco, and the rest was history.
Did Adam and Kayleigh end up together on The Summer I Turned Pretty?
Conrad and Jeremiah’s dad, Adam (Tom Everett Scott), began dating his former mistress Kayleigh (Emma Ishta) in Season 3, but they weren’t in it for the long haul. During the finale, he revealed to Belly and Steven’s parents, Laurel (Jackie Chung) and John (Colin Ferguson), that they were no longer together.
Did Laurel and John end up together on The Summer I Turned Pretty?
No, although Laurel and John had a reconciliation during Season 3, they were not endgame. During the conversation with Adam, they confirmed they were not an item, which prompted Adam to joke about them all taking a singles’ cruise together.
