’90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way’ Preview: Chloe’s Move to Aruba Takes a Turn (VIDEO)
From silk pillowcases to hot water access, 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way couple Chloe Fabiano and Johny Fernandes discover drastic cultural differences between America and Aruba in Swooon‘s exclusive sneak peek of the September 22 episode.
Chloe, 23, and Johny, 32, were first introduced to 90 Day Fiancé fans as Chloe revealed, “I’m leaving a six-figure job [in Boston] to move to Aruba because I fell in love with a man on a pirate ship.” Now that she is officially moving in with her booze cruise host boyfriend in his house in Aruba.
“Every time Chloe came to Aruba, she was always in a vacation rental,” Johny says in the preview. “And now that she’s going to live with me and my home, I’m going to see, like, ‘Hey, are you in this? Are you ready for something real?”
While Chloe asks Johny if unpacking can be “a tomorrow thing” because she is too tired after her flight, she lets him know that there is one item she needs to find that night, stating, “I need to find my other silk pillowcase ’cause I know I had another one.” According to Johny, he didn’t even know what a silk pillowcase was until Chole came into his life. While Chloe points at his face, saying that the silk helps with wrinkle prevention, Johny quips, “And then the Botox helps.”
As for moving into Johny’s house, Chloe tells her boyfriend that they need more closet space and hot water. Johny retorts, “Most people don’t have hot water in Aruba because, you know, it’s more of a — it’s an expensive thing. In Aruba, it never gets that cold.”
That being said, Chloe makes it clear that she is willing to foot the bill as long as she doesn’t have to take a cold shower. She tells him, “I’ll actually pay for the water bill if we get hot water. I will pay for it.” Seeing as she left a six-figure job to move to Aruba, this shouldn’t be too difficult for her. At least, not at first. Even so, Johny tells her, “It’s like, it’s a lot though. Imagine if it becomes like $100?”
According to Johny, this is a key difference between life in Aruba and the life Chloe knew in America. He tells viewers, “In the States, when it’s winter, ‘Hey, you need hot water.’ But here in Aruba, there’s never any snow ever. No winter. The coldest it gets is like 75, maybe if it’s raining and storming and the winds are blowing. So the water is never, never cold.”
