‘Love Is Blind’s Lauren & Cameron Reveal Unexpected Advice for Season 9 Pod Squad
Before the iconic Love Is Blind pods reopen on October 1, franchise OGs Lauren Speed and Cameron Hamilton sat down with Swooon to give their best advice to the Season 9 cast.
Lauren and Cameron met back in 2018, as one of the first engaged couples to come out of the Love Is Blind pods together after falling in love sight unseen. Seven years later, the couple is still happily married and expecting their first child. Hearing that the franchise has already hit its ninth season, Lauren exclaimed, “Season nine? Dang, we really are the OGs!”
While Lauren and Cameron were lucky enough to find love on the show, they offered advice to both the love and fame seekers in the cast. Often catering his advice to those looking for lasting love, Cameron admitted, “I feel like the advice that we always give is to really not try to be a character and not try to ham it up for more screen time or whatever.” However, this time around, he questioned, “I mean, will people actually listen to that?”

Adding on, Lauren told Swooon, “Just be yourself. You know, go on there with an open heart and an open mind, and just really be in the experiment. If you’re really there for the right reasons, do the right thing. Be involved and present.”
Cameron continued, “If you actually want to find a match, then yeah, really, just be yourself. I was thinking about that back in 2018 when we filmed, and it worked out for me. I didn’t try to be a ham. It sounds very cliché, but it worked for us.”
However, everyone knows that some pod squad members view the show as more of a social media launch pad than a romantic experiment. For those searching for influencer status in the pods, Cameron teased, “Now, if you want to just be on TV and have some good one-liners, I mean, get your one-liners ready ahead of time.”
