Tim Allen’s Former TV Wives Meet His Current ‘Shifting Gears’ Love in Season 2 Photos
Shifting Gears is shifting into high gear when it comes to love in Season 2. The ABC comedy series returns on October 1 with a premiere episode of epic proportions when it comes to Tim Allen nostalgia. Swooon has the first look photos of the actor’s current Shifting Gears love interest, Eve (Jenna Elfman), with his past onscreen wives, Nancy Travis and Patricia Richardson. (It’s like the Spider-Man meme of Tim Allen love interests!)
All three women pose together on the set of Shifting Gears Season 2. Home Improvement fans will fondly recall that Allen and Richardson played the husband-and-wife duo of Tim and Jill Taylor over the beloved family comedy’s eight seasons. Travis then starred alongside Allen in ABC and later Fox’s Last Man Standing as Vanessa and Mike Baxter. Travis appeared in the first season of Shifting Gears as Charlotte, a widow who connects with Allen’s character, Matt Parker.

At the end of last season, Eve and Matt shared a kiss. Will these two hit full speed on a grand romance, or will they slow things down? Season 2 will explore whether anything comes of that smooch.
In another exclusive photo, Eve and Matt have a moment while Matt’s on the go. Matt will also be crossing paths with Charlotte again, and they couldn’t be happier about it.

In the Season 2 premiere episode, Matt wrestles with his feelings for Eve, and Charlotte convinces him to go to a grief group. Meanwhile, Riley (Kat Dennings) struggles with her own “will she or won’t she” about her feelings for Gabe (Seann William Scott).
Richardson isn’t the only Home Improvement castmate who will be popping up in Shifting Gears Season 2. Debbe Dunning and Richard Karn, aka Heidi Keppert and Al Borland, will guest star as well.
