Who Won ‘Love Island Games’ Season 2? A New Couple Conquers the Villa

[Warning: The following contains MAJOR spoilers from the Love Island Games Season 2 finale.]
After a rollercoaster of a season, Love Island Games has come to an end. The past two weeks saw Love Island veterans battle it out for the $250,000 prize, participating in cutthroat duels and challenges until only one couple remained.
Going into Episode 18, four couples were still in the running: Justine Ndiba and Tyrique Hyde, Sydney Paight and Toby Aromolaran, Johnny Middlebrooks and Gabby Allen, and Isaiah Campbell and Lucinda Strafford. As the winners of the previous episode’s challenge, only Isaiah and Lucinda were confirmed as finalists. The rest depended on America’s vote.
So, which couple won the Mega Duel and were crowned Love Island Games Season 2 champions? Scroll down for the full recap.
What happened in the Love Island Games Season 2 finale?
Twenty-one contestants entered the villa, but only six competed in the Mega Duel. Shortly into the episode, Ariana Madix arrived to inform the Islanders which two couples were headed into the final alongside Isaiah and Lucinda: Justine and Tyrique, as well as Sydney and Toby. With the fewest votes, Johnny and Gabby had to pack their bags.
Upon his elimination, Johnny described getting voted out as a “tough pill to swallow,” since he wasn’t able to redeem himself after losing in the Season 1 finals. “In a way, I’m at peace with it because I get to put the dog back in the cage,” Johnny said before ribbing the other boys about them getting out of fighting him. “I feel like I kept my dignity. I can go to sleep at night knowing that.”
All of the dumped Islanders returned to watch the finalists fight it out. Ariana explained the setup: The three couples would battle, and whichever one came in last place would be dumped. Afterward, the last two pairs would face off.
“Towers of Trust” was the first challenge, and it was more mental than physical. There were three poles set up in a line. The first pole had five discs of varying sizes stacked on top of each other. They had to move them from the first pole to the third, ordered from largest to smallest. The couples could only move one disc at a time, and they weren’t allowed to place a large disc on top of a smaller disc. (We were confused at first, too.)
The challenge stumped many of the contestants at the start, but they figured it out eventually. Justine and Tyrique wound up in first place, followed by Isaiah and Lucinda. Sydney and Toby were eliminated, so the former didn’t get her wish to officially go head-to-head against her ex, Isaiah.
Next up was “The Heist,” which involved strength, stamina, speed, teamwork, and strategy. A ring was divided into four quarters, two yellow and two blue. Eighteen money bags were placed in the middle. A small bag was worth one point, a medium was worth two, and a large was worth three. At the end of three minutes, the bags placed in their zones would count toward their total.
There was one catch: Three white bags were in the mix, and if they were in their zone by the end of the round, points would be deducted. The small bag would take away two points, while the medium was worth four points and the large six.
With $250,000 on the line, the Islanders gave it their all. It was nearly impossible to keep track of who was in the lead, and in the end, there was only a difference of four points between them. Who came out on top?
Who won Love Island Games Season 2?
Your Season 2 winners are Lucinda and Isaiah! Upon their victory, the two assured each other that they wouldn’t have won without each other. They also added that their romantic connection helped them secure the win.
Justine, who was up for a three-peat having won Love Island USA Season 2 and Love Island Games Season 1, and Tyrique walked away empty handed. However, they did acknowledge that they found a connection with each other, though Tyrique mentioned that they weren’t putting any pressure on it. Justine told him that he was her favorite partner out of all her seasons.
After Lucinda and Isaiah gave their victory speeches, the dumped Islanders were tasked with voting for who they thought deserved the entire $250,000. Meanwhile, the couple wrote “love” or “money” on their respective white boards, revealing what their intentions were going into Love Island Games.
Isaiah received the majority vote from the Islanders, so the decision to split or keep all the cash fell to him. Before Isaiah announced his decision, Lucinda revealed that she was there for love. Her partner held us in suspense for a hot minute, but ultimately, Isaiah was on the same page. They’re both $125,000 richer.
