‘Love Is Blind’ Season 9: Are Megan Walerius & Jordan Keltner Still Together?
[Warning: The following contains MAJOR spoilers from Love Is Blind Season 9.]
Megan Walerius and Jordan Keltner had a slow-burn romance in Love Is Blind Season 9. (If you can consider any relationship to come out of the Netflix reality show a “slow burn,” that is.) At the end of the pods stage, “Sparkle Megan” and Jordan’s love prevailed. However, after Megan and Jordan returned to Denver and their compatibility came into question, Megan called things off with the single dad. The Love Is Blind Season 9 reunion is dropping on October 29, and we’ll finally get answers about how these two exes feel about each other today.
Looking back at their relationship, it’s clear that some initial hesitation stemmed from Megan’s worry that their lifestyles wouldn’t match. However, the couple especially bonded over the fact that Jordan’s 5-year-old son has diabetes, like her late father did. After their engagement, the two became one of the more stable couples of the bunch. That changed in Episode 11, when Megan told Jordan that he wasn’t offering her the same amount of conversation and stimulation that he did in the pods. Jordan’s rebuttal was that he preferred quiet after an exhausting work day.
Read on for everything we know about their relationship and where they stand heading into the Season 9 reunion. Plus, be sure to check out our interviews with both Jordan and Megan to learn more about the fate of their relationship.
Are Love Is Blind’s Megan and Jordan still together?
As of the season finale of Love Is Blind Season 9, Megan and Jordan are no longer together. In fact, while they made it to the wedding episode, they didn’t make it to their wedding day. Ultimately, it was Megan who pulled the plug, realizing that she wasn’t ready to tone down her extravagant lifestyle to be with Jordan. She told him, “We are very different. You are very simple.” His response? “I’m a f**king normal guy.”
During a confessional, Jordan later admitted, “I didn’t think we were different at all. I think the only thing is just the lifestyle difference. She had enough money to live the rest of her life without ever working, and I don’t.” He added, “I think if I had enough money that I didn’t really have to work, I think we would be getting married.” He later told Swooon, “I’m glad she was vocal about that. The last thing I want to do is obviously go through a divorce and drag my son through a divorce.”
According to Megan, as their wedding day approached, she started to feel less certain about their connection. “I think it became a lot clearer to me that maybe we weren’t as compatible as I thought we were,” she admitted to Swooon, “and that really scared me. I was starting to have a lot of hesitations and a lot of concerns.”
Before their split, Megan had recently met Jordan’s son, Luca, off-camera. Megan reflected on their interaction when she went to try on wedding dresses in Episode 10. “If anybody’s going to step into the role as his step mom, I’m the best person for that,” she said, referencing the diabetes connection. She also gushed about the 5-year-old being an “absolute joy.”
Megan went on to describe their slumber party as “a lot” with Luca’s condition. His monitor had an alarm going off at night based on his blood sugar levels. “It’s gonna take some getting used to, but he’s adorable,” she said. When Jordan discussed the meeting during his tux fitting, he said it was a positive experience and that he remained “110% committed” to Megan.
In the second drop of episodes, Megan and Jordan went house-hunting. The realtor informed them that the property was in the $2 million range, which Jordan thought was “a little too much house.” They were still trying to find the perfect place the last time we saw them in Episode 11.
Megan and Jordan hadn’t had many arguments since their relationship began, aside from a spat during their vacation with the rest of the couples in Baja, Mexico. During Episode 6’s pool party, Jordan made a joke that was NSFW, and Megan promptly told her fiancé that he was annoying her. “I’ll stop. I promise. That’s all you gotta say,” Jordan responded, and they quickly overcame the issue.
Upon their return from Baja, Megan started to worry about meeting Jordan’s ex, Skylar. “She’s going to love you, I promise,” Jordan assured her. Megan later told her fellow Season 9 ladies that Jordan’s ex was “super cute,” and there was “no tension.” She also spoke with Jordan about buying gifts for Luca, as her love language is gift-giving. Megan didn’t want to “overstep” with Luca, and Jordan said she could buy his son gifts, but she didn’t have to overdo it.
When did Megan and Jordan get engaged on Love Is Blind?
Jordan and Megan were the final couple to get engaged in Episode 5. After Jordan’s proposal, the couple happily met face-to-face for the first time, during which Jordan showed his fiancée a photo of his son.
Who else did Megan and Jordan date in the pods?
Jordan focused on Megan early on, but Megan had a few contenders. Vying for her heart were 38-year-old real estate investor Mike Brockway and 34-year-old accountant Blake Anderson. The latter ended up leaving the show without letting Megan know, so it remained a toss-up between Jordan and Mike until Episode 5. Megan acknowledged that Blake was her typical type, but Jordan continued to surprise her, so she tearfully turned Blake down.
In Episode 9, Megan and Mike had a conversation for the first time since the pods at the cast meetup. He apologized for making her cry that one night in the pods and wished he’d handled the situation better. Mike told Megan that he wanted to slide into her DMs, but he decided against it. “That’s what scared me,” Megan said, referring to the possibility that Mike wouldn’t have been faithful to her. Mike also revealed that he had picked out an engagement ring for Megan before he got dumped. While Mike is not expected to be at the reunion, fans are eager to hear more about this messy love triangle.
Is Megan in a new relationship?
It’s the question we’ve all been wondering: Does Sparkle Megan have a Sparkle Baby? Heading into the reunion, Megan hasn’t said anything about a new relationship. However, Megan has been spotted with a new man and a newborn baby outside of her house in Denver. We’ll have to wait until the reunion to see if the rumors are true!
