Is ‘Special Forces’ DS Rudy Reyes Married? Inside the Denise Richards Rumors & More
Throughout four seasons of Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test, viewers have gotten to know the recurring Directing Staff (DS) in addition to the celebrity recruits who’ve taken on the course.
But while the DS are experts at getting the recruits to open up about the most vulnerable parts of themselves, their own personal lives are not highlighted on the show. But after Season 3, DS Rudy Reyes, a former recon marine, found his love life in tabloid headlines.

Is Rudy Reyes married?
No, Reyes is not married. However, he was previously engaged to Jade Struck, a firearms instructor. The Sun reported in February 2025 that Reyes and Struck had broken up, noting that he deleted most photos with her from his social media accounts.
In response to a fan about the relationship, Reyes reportedly wrote in a now-deleted comment, “We are not together anymore sadly but I take every opportunity for growth and improvement.”

Reyes and Struck, who have a 26-year age difference, had been engaged since 2020. He previously told The Mirror that it was love at first sight when he met his now-ex. “She did weapons training for the John Wick films,” Reyes shared. “She’s an incredible markswoman and she’s stunning and passionate about Jesus. She helped me get back into my faith.”
At the time of the 2023 interview, he was already looking forward to a future with Struck. “I reckon I have about 10 to 15 years of being a real-life superhero left,” he shared. “Then it’s off to the ranch to settle down and have kids with Jade.”
During a January 2025 interview with Page Six, Reyes was still in a relationship with Struck, although he admitted that the women lusting over him on social media had been taking a toll. “Now, all of a sudden, she’s telling me to always put a shirt on and stuff,” he shared. “I’m like, ‘God, dang it.’ It’s tough sometimes for our family ’cause they do gotta share us a little bit. But we know how to hold boundaries, too.”
What happened between Rudy Reyes and Denise Richards?
In July 2025, rumors of an affair between Reyes and Denise Richards surfaced. Richards was a contestant on Season 3 of Special Forces, which premiered in January 2025. She voluntarily withdrew from the course on Day 2.
The rumors about Reyes and Richards surfaced amid her divorce from Aaron Phypers. “Privately, I’ve wrestled with the painful truth: that Denise has been involved in an ongoing affair with her Special Forces instructor, Rudy Reyes — something I confronted her about earlier this year,” Phypers allegedly wrote in a letter to Richards’ family, per Page Six.
He reportedly claimed that the alleged affair lasted for six months. “She begged me not to leave, saying it was nothing and that she only loved me,” Phypers reportedly claimed. “Then, she denied it all — even the explicit messages I found. Despite her promise to stop, more lies and shocking evidence emerged.”
Phypers told Daily Mail that he found out about the alleged affair in April and claimed that he discovered hundreds of messages between Richards and Reyes on her phone. He claimed that Richards and Reyes began hooking up again the following month and said he found out in July. “She’s been setting up times to meet him out of town while creating fights with me,” Phypers alleged.
While appearing in court earlier this week, Richards briefly mentioned the allegations as she sought a permanent restraining order against her ex-husband, whom she has accused of abuse. “I cheated? I saw the d**k pics you sent and the sites you were on,” she claimed. Richards and Reyes have not directly addressed the rumors.

Reyes has two children from previous relationships. He has a son named Dylan and a daughter named Bella.

In honor of Dylan’s birthday in 2020, he wrote on Instagram, “Happy Birthday To My Number One ☝️ Son, The Love of My Life and Strength in My Heart ❤️ to Be My Best Rudy Reyes!! He also called the kids his “angels of light” in a special Instagram tribute for Valentine’s Day 2019.
