‘The Resident’ Star Emily VanCamp Shares Rare Photo of Kids on Beach Vacation
Summer may be over, but Emily VanCamp isn’t letting that stop her and her kids from enjoying a beach day.
The Resident star isn’t too active on social media, but she shared a rare glimpse into her life as a parent. In an October 8 Instagram post, VanCamp can be seen walking toward the ocean, hand-in-hand with her two daughters, Iris and Rio Rose.
“Those tiny hands and our feet in the sand… nothing better ☀️✨💛,” she captioned the snapshot. Despite playing Nic’s enemy in The Resident, Dr. Lane Hunter actress Melina Kanakaredes showed her costar all the love, commenting three red heart emojis. Another one of VanCamp’s former scene partners, Revenge‘s Margarita Levieva, reacted to the post with some heart-eyes emojis in the comments.

The last time the star shared a photo of both of her daughters was on Mother’s Day last year, just a couple of months after Rio Rose was born. The special day also doubled as a birthday celebration. “38✨ And Mama’s day all wrapped into one. Filled with gratitude today and everyday. Thanks for all the bday love and wishing you all a very Happy Mother’s Day!!” she wrote.
The 39-year-old actress gave birth to Iris in 2021. Three years later, she and husband Josh Bowman — who played her onscreen love interest in Revenge — welcomed another member to their family. “✨Rio Rose ✨ 3-12-2024 Welcome to the world baby girl,” the mom captioned the Instagram announcement. “We love you so much ❤️💕.”
Iris arrived about a decade after VanCamp and Bowman met on set. They started dating in 2011, saying “I do” seven years later. In December 2023, VanCamp commemorated their fifth wedding anniversary on Instagram. “5 years married, 12 together ❤️ What a beautiful ride it’s been. Love the life we’ve built, our wild adventures but mostly the little family we’ve created,” she gushed.
