The internet was shook over the summer when reports surfaced that Sydney Sweeney and Scooter Braun were a romantic item. The two were first linked after they both attended Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez‘s wedding in July, just four months after Sweeney ended her engagement to Jonathan Davino.

While Sweeney and Braun themselves have not addressed the status of their relationship, all signs do point to a romance for the apparent couple. Star was first to report the news in August.
In September, People reported that the two were “casually hooking up,” with a source noting, “Everything is casual. She is living her life and working hard.” At the same time, TMZ also confirmed that the two were in a “casual” relationship, noting, “Sydney has just ended a relationship and she’s doing what women in their 20’s do … she’s dating.”
People’s source also noted that Sweeney isn’t rushing to get into another relationship right now: “She’s been clear about her goals for this year — it’s all about her career. She’s ambitious and very focused. She wants to make the most of every work opportunity that comes her way.”
Recent sightings of the pair include a night out to dinner in Brentwood (as seen on DeuxMoi), as well as an evening at Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights, where they were spotted holding hands. Sweeney’s parents joined them for the late September outing.
In early October, a source told Us Weekly that the relationship had become “more serious” in recent weeks and that Braun and Sweeney have been consistently seeing each other for two months. “They’re still not putting a label on it, but Sydney has been having a lot of fun with Scooter,” the insider shared. “It has been low-pressure for both of them and has been a different relationship for Sydney. Scooter has introduced her to new perspectives, especially when it comes to business.”
How did Sydney Sweeney and Scooter Braun meet?
It’s unclear exactly how Sweeney and Braun met. While TMZ’s source said that the rumored couple met at the Bezos and Sanchez wedding, People reported in September that the two had “something going on already” when they both attended the star-studded nuptials.
“They hung out in Italy for the Bezos wedding,” the outlet’s source noted. “Syd was intrigued. Scooter’s a charmer. He’s confident, but also sweet and very attentive. He’s not really her type, but she enjoyed the attention.”
Page Six reported that Braun became “obsessed” with Sweeney and began pursuing her after the Venice wedding.
