Wes Brown & Melissa Peterman Talk ‘Haul Out the Halloween’ Sequel, A Possible Baby & More (VIDEO)

Look, Everscream Lane has a nice ring to it. The Haul Out the Holly universe expanded with Haul Out the Halloween. Emily (Lacey Chabert), Jared (Wes Brown), and the entire cul-de-sac came together to welcome Marvin (Daniel Kountz) and Luna (Kimberly J. Brown) to the neighborhood. The beloved characters in the newest Hallmark movie took their Halloween celebrations to a new level.
Naturally, given how Haul Out the Halloween ends, we couldn’t help but wonder if a Haul Out the Halloween sequel is on the horizon, or if it’s possible another type of Evergreen Lane celebration will join the universe. Swooon asked Brown and Melissa Peterman to weigh in.
“I know our director and our writer, he’s had this planned out from the get-go, just in case they were successful and he could have a series of them,” Brown told Swooon about the possibility of another movie. “He’s getting his wish, so I hope he continues to get his wish.”
At the beginning of Haul Out the Halloween, Emily and Jared get married in a gorgeous fall wedding. First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes… a baby? Swooon had to know if the Evergreen Lane gang would be open to exploring a new arrival.
“Yes,” Peterman immediately quipped, before adding, “Oh, I’m not involved.”
Brown echoed his costar’s excitement about another sequel focusing around Emily and Jared welcoming a baby. “Please. A little baby, mix of Jared and Emily,” Peterman told Brown. Give us Aunt Pamela, Hallmark!
The Happy’s Place star pointed out that she’s glad Haul Out the Halloween ends with a hint “that there could be more coming.” Jared gets accepted into the Norwegian Santa Academy, so the Evergreen Lane crew could be headed on a road trip!
