Do Kym Johnson and Robert Herjavec have children?
Yes, Johnson and Herjavec are parents to twins Hudson and Haven, whom Johnson gave birth to in April 2018. She was 41 years old at the time.
The twins were conceived via in vitro fertilization (IVF). “I had frozen my eggs when I was 35, thinking I was doing something that would help me in the future, but none of those eggs were healthy,” Johnson previously shared. “We had been trying naturally for a while and having some trouble, so we did IVF. We actually put two embryos in, so we knew there was a chance we could have twins.”
What happened to Robert Herjavec’s first wife?
Before he was with Johnson, Herjavec was married to optometrist Diane Plese for more than two decades. They tied the knot in 1990 and separated in July 2014. Herjavec announced that he and Plese were divorcing in March 2015, just days before he made his DWTS debut. Their split was finalized in June 2016, one month before he and Johnson tied the knot.
In 2019, a judge ruled that Herjavec had to pay Plese $125,000 a month in support, as well as a total of $25 million in assets, according to the Toronto Sun. In her judgment, the judge noted that Herjavec was “involved in an extramarital affair” in 2014.
Herjavec dated Danielle Vasinova on and off from January 2014 to February 2015. In 2017, he sued her for extortion, claiming she tried to get him to pay millions of dollars amid false claims of sexual assault. The Shark Tank star also sued for intentional infliction of emotional distress and public disclosure of private facts, according to People. He only requested $1 in damages and an end to the alleged extortion.
Vasinova fired back with a lawsuit of her home, claiming Herjavec raped her, which he denied, per TMZ. Both lawsuits were dismissed in 2018.
Does Robert Herjavec have a relationship with his older children?
With Plese, Herjavec shares three older children: daughters Caprice and Skye, and son Brendan.
After Herjavec and Plese’s split, he revealed that the kids wouldn’t speak to him. “Everyone has their kryptonite,” he told People. “For me, it was my kids. It took me to a place I never thought I would go.”
Herjavec said he even thought about ending his life when he hit rock bottom amid the separation and estrangement from his children. He has not given a recent update on where he and his three older children stand, so it’s not clear where their relationship is at now.
