‘Love Is Blind’s Ali Lima Breaks Down Her Fight With Anton Yarosh Over ‘Missing’ Alcohol

[Warning: The following contains MAJOR spoilers for Love Is Blind Season 9 Episodes 10-11.]

It took exiting the pods for Ali Lima to see the full extent of Anton Yarosh’s partying lifestyle during Season 9 of Love Is Blind. However, it’s clear that nothing could have prepared her to find what she called “an insane amount of alcohol” missing from their apartment. Now she’s sitting down with Swooon to tell the full story.

During Episode 10 of Love Is Blind Season 9, Ali suggested that she and Anton have a drink after they returned from the cowboy-themed get-together with Pod Squad singles and the other couples. However, her night was quickly turned on its head when her fiancé responded that they could split the last can of a twelve-pack. After she questioned where all that alcohol went, Anton told her, “I didn’t do anything with them. That was all you.” This conversation came just days after meeting Anton’s friends, who claimed that he was a far bigger drinker than he had let on in the pods.

As Ali stood in front of the fridge, noting the twelve-pack, as well as another twelve-pack of Coors and half a bottle of tequila, were all missing, Anton told her, “I don’t know what you did with them. Jesus, woman. Must have drank them all.” As Anton got “defensive” towards Ali’s concern, he told her, “I think you’ve had quite a few more drinks than me tonight… ‘Cause, you know? But that’s fine.”

Looking back at their conversation about the “missing” alcohol, Ali told Swooon, “That’s a lot of alcohol. Like, to me, that is an insane amount of alcohol.” For Ali, this was a concern “not only for his drinking, but ultimately, for myself in the future.”

Naturally, Ali understood that this was him “hanging out and chilling and kind of destressing,” which was especially important during filming for the show. She noted, “It’s such a different reality than what actual reality is. You know, we are back in our lives with our friends and our phones and our jobs, but the reality of it is having cameras around all the time, having all this chaos going on, it’s not really real life.”

Ali revealed, “My biggest thought process during all of that is: Is this actually the norm? Does he not realize that this is kind of an intense amount of drinking?” Still, it’s clear that Ali was viewing this lifestyle through the lens of care for her partner, instead of judgment. In the end, she told Swooon, “It was more so just trying to figure it out, and see if there’s something that maybe needed intervention, you know?”

With the season finale weddings on the horizon and the reunion in sight, fans will have to wait to learn if Ali and Anton tie the knot. And if so, will the couple’s reality change once the cameras go off? Only time will tell!
