Back in September, the pop star sparked split rumors during his American Heart tour stop in Nashville. “Sometimes people leave your life, whether it’s the right thing or the wrong thing — and it is always hard, always, every single time,” he told the audience, per a fan’s TikTok video. Just days later, TMZ reported that the couple had called it quits. Boone and Thurmon were no longer following each other on Instagram at the time.

Technically, neither Boone nor Thurmon has provided an official explanation for their breakup, but Thurmon gave fans some insight recently. In the aforementioned TikTok video, the actress lip-synced to an audio from The Office. Pam asks Kelly, “Remember how it felt when he cheated on you?” The former answers, “Which time?”
Thurmon seemed to double down in the comments section. One fan took a screenshot of an interaction she had with another user, who wrote, “Bro if benson cheated I will turn this car right around.” It prompted Thurmon to reply, “Put your blinker on babe.”

In the comments section of her latest video, the influencer seemed to explain why she took the post down. “I got overwhelmed. I’ve always been a more private online person, tonight I remembered why. Thank you to everyone who was sending love, I appreciate yall so much,” she wrote. Boone hasn’t responded to Thurmon’s claims.
How long were Benson Boone and Maggie Thurmon together?
The musician was first linked to Thurmon in March 2024 at Elton John’s AIDS Foundation Academy Awards viewing party, though they didn’t reveal the nature of their relationship at the time. Since they appeared to hard-launch on Instagram a few months later, it’s safe to say that Boone and Thurmon were together for at least a year.
While they dated, the couple wasn’t shy about sharing their love with the world. They made their red carpet debut at the premiere of Twisters in July 2024, and they appeared at the VMAs together a little while later. “It’s her whole personality, who she is,” Boone said of his then-girlfriend in November 2024, per Entertainment Tonight. He described Thurmon, who would also go on to support him at the 2025 Grammys, as “the sweetest and the kindest.”
In August 2025, Thurmon told People that she had plans to go “on tour for a bit around the U.S.” in the fall, which lined up with Boone’s American Heart tour dates. Us Weekly reported the couple broke up sometime in the second week of September.
