Blake Shelton is returning to television on Sunday, October 19, for his new singing competition The Road. After leaving The Voice in 2023, Shelton cocreated the new show with Taylor Sheridan.
Although he’s no longer part of The Voice, he had a long history with the show, which is also where he met his third wife, Gwen Stefani. The two started dating while serving as coaches on the show in 2015 amid their divorces from Miranda Lambert and Gavin Rossdale.

Yes, Shelton and Stefani are still together. In July 2025, they celebrated their four-year wedding anniversary, and Shelton commemorated the occasion on Instagram. “My pretty girl… I’m the luckiest man to be married to you and to know you,” he shared. “I love you @gwenstefani!!!!!! Happy anniversary!!!!”

He also sent a birthday tribute to his wife on October 3. “Y’all help me wish @gwenstefani a happy birthday!!!!!! I love you pretty girl!!!!!” Shelton gushed.
Stefani also made sure to post about the anniversary, writing, “7-3-21. every day i thank God for u @blakeshelton. happy anniversary ❤️ i love u so much ❤️.” For Shelton’s birthday in June, she wrote, “happy birthday to my greatest love @blakeshelton u are my everything!! ❤️❤️.”
Did Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani have a baby?
No, Shelton and Stefani never had a baby of their own, but he is a proud stepfather to Stefani’s three sons, whom she shares with Rossdale. Stefani and Rossdale share their boys Kingston, Zuma, and Apollo, all of whom have close relationships with Shelton.
In fact, Shelton is so dedicated to being a father figure, that his decision to leave The Voice was due to wanting to spend more time with the kids.

“If I walked away from my career at this time, the only thing that I run the risk of is having regrets that I’m missing out on some more important things in life,” he told People in December 2022. “For now, that’s our kids. This isn’t about me anymore and never will be again.”
In a subsequent interview with Access Hollywood, he added, “I think the only way for me to really [parent] right is to step away from being committed to something like The Voice that demands a lot of your time.”
Stefani considers Shelton a parent to her boys. “Happy Father’s day Dad and @blakeshelton!! we love u so much 💙,” she wrote on Instagram in June.
