‘GH’s Jonathan Jackson & His ‘Beautiful’ Wife Make Rare Appearance at Daytime Emmys

Jonathan Jackson returned to the world of soaps to accept his sixth Daytime Emmy for his role as Lucky Spencer on General Hospital at the October 17 ceremony, and he had his wife, Lisa Vultaggio, by his side. The actor and his longtime love made a rare red carpet appearance at the Daytime Emmys before Jackson accepted his award.
The Nashville alum won for Supporting Performance in a Daytime Drama Series. When he got up on stage, Jackson began to tear up and took a special moment to show his love for his wife and kids.
“[Fyodor] Dostoevsky said that ‘beauty will save the world.’ And for me, the most beautiful thing is my wife, Lisa, my three children, Caleb, Adora, and Titus,” Jackson said.
The 2025 Daytime Emmys marked a notable public moment for Jackson and his wife. The last time the couple walked a red carpet together was in 2016 at the Critics’ Choice Awards.

During his acceptance speech, Jackson also thanked his GH costars, including TV parents Genie Francis and Anthony Geary. He mentioned Rebecca Herbst, who’s played his onscreen love interest, Elizabeth Webber, for decades, as well as Steve Burton, his longtime costar and friend. Jackson was one of the groomsmen at Burton’s wedding to Michelle Lundstrom in May 2025.
Jackson and Vultaggio’s love story leads back to General Hospital. The couple met on the set of the ABC soap in 1999. Jackson had been playing Lucky since 1993. Vultaggio joined GH as Hannah Scott. The actors fell in love quickly and married in 2002.
Jackson reprised the role of Lucky after nearly 10 years in 2024. Nine months after his return, the actor decided to leave Port Charles again so he could stay close to his family in Tennessee.
“There were moments where I thought, ‘I think I can find this balance with the family and time back and forth,’ and then you just have to pray about it and try to do what you feel is right. We gave it our best shot, but we weren’t able to keep it going,” he told TV Insider.
