Well, that wasn’t the case for Joe Ferrucci. As his brutal breakup with Madison Maidenberg was playing out on Netflix, we were learning present-day relationship news about Joe and another cast member.
During an interview with Reality Receipts podcast, Joe’s current girlfriend (You read that right!) spoke out about his split from Madison, the other Pod Squad member he dated, and their blossoming relationship. According to Joe’s current girlfriend, Averee Madison, she is “not a Kacie fan.” On their first date, Joe and Averee ran into Kacie, causing him to reveal that he had been on a couple of dates with her before he got together with Averee. During the interview, she admitted, “Joe getting a girlfriend did not stop [Kacie] from continuously trying [to hook up with him.]” According to Averee, Joe would receive messages from Kacie every couple of weekends. Not holding back, Averee told Reality Receipts, “You’re in his DMs, I’m in bed with him. Like, come on, that’s embarrassing.”
At the reunion, Joe confirmed that he had dated Kacie for about a month after filming. However, their connection fizzled out. Kacie also confirmed that Joe was third on her list in the pods, so their connection had been brewing for a while. She even admitted that she realized after they split that she really liked him. Joe’s ex-fiancée, Madison, said she felt that Joe and Kacie’s connection contributed to the downfall of her relationship with Joe.

Joe is currently in a relationship with Averee, a Denver-based dating coach. According to Averee, they met at a mutual friend’s birthday party over a year ago, but didn’t start dating until November 2024. While Averee was not part of the show, she has been friends with Pod Squad member Kait Nemunaitis for years. At the party, she knew there would be a ton of Love Is Blind cast members in attendance, but she didn’t expect to fall for one until she met Joe. In her opinion, Joe has done quite a bit of growing up and is far less “controversial” today.

Averee also revealed that she was invited to the Love Is Blind reunion. She chose to stay home, unlike Megan Walerius’ new boyfriend and Anton Yarosh’s new girlfriend, who were both in the audience.

Joe’s new girlfriend, Averee Madison, is a Denver-based influencer. While she works full-time in family law, she contracts as a dating coach for men and hopes to make that her 9-to-5 career soon. Outside of her two jobs, Averee is the founder of a women’s club in Denver called The Group Chat.
Is Averee Madison friends with Madison Maidenberg?
Averee admitted that she had met Madison before she met Joe because Madison is close with Kait as well. In her opinion, their split comes down to the fact that Madison “was not his person.”
