‘Bridgerton’ Future Leads Hannah Dodd & Masali Baduza Reunite in First Off-Set Photo Together

It’s a big day for Franchaela fans! Masali Baduza and Hannah Dodd are doing some off-screen bonding ahead of Bridgerton Season 4, and there’s photographic evidence.

Until now, we hadn’t gotten a glimpse of the actresses, who play eventual love interests Michaela Stirling and Francesca Bridgerton, in an unofficial capacity. That changed on October 20, when fans spotted the duo in the audience of The Maids play. Leading the London-based production is Yerin Ha, who will appear as Sophie Baek in the upcoming fourth season of Netflix’s regency drama.

Though Sophie and Benedict Bridgerton‘s (Luke Thompson) romance will take center stage this time around, Baduza and Dodd will step back into their respective roles as Michaela and Francesca. The two were all smiles as they posed for photos with fans at the Donmar Warehouse theater.

The photo sparked dozens of excited replies, with one user chiming in that they’re “so ready for Francesca’s season.” Another added, “Imagine going to the theater to see YERIN and finding THEM in the foyer with you. I would have fallen flat on my face.”

As of now, the show’s team hasn’t revealed if Francesca and Michaela — who’s been gender-swapped from Julia Quinn’s When He Was Wicked — will be the next Bridgerton pair to fall in love. The characters met for the first time toward the end of Season 3, which also saw Francesca marry Michaela’s cousin John (Victor Alli). Though Quinn hasn’t given any hint about when Franchaela’s season is coming, the author did tease what’s in store for them. “I think it’s gonna be great, and I think anything that allows more people to see themselves in the story is a good thing,” she said. “I don’t know exactly everything [about the script], but I have some sense of what’s gonna happen. I think it’s gonna be a heart-wrenching, emotional season, which is what When He Was Wicked was.”
