‘When Calls the Heart’: Erin Krakow Hints Elizabeth & Nathan Will Take ‘Steps Forward’ in Season 13

When Calls the Heart won’t return for Season 13 until 2026, but Erin Krakow knows what the people want! The actress is currently promoting her new Hallmark movie, Christmas Above the Clouds, but she was able to spill some WCTH Season 13 scoop with Swooon.
At the end of Season 12, Elizabeth (Krakow) and Nathan (Kevin McGarry) set off for Cape Fullerton in order to get Little Jack (Hyland Goodrich) access to the insulin he needs. So, what’s next for the beloved Hope Valley couple? Could they be headed for a major development in their relationship? Krakow dropped some pivotal teases in our interview.
“Well, we get to explore a bit of what their life looks like as they’ve left Hope Valley,” Krakow said. “But of course, we can’t keep them away from our special little town for too long. So obviously, we bring them back to Hope Valley, and we get to really learn more about them as a team, as partners, as potential coparents together.”
She added, “There’s a lot of really beautiful moments where we get to see how they help each other, parent Allie [Jaeda Lily Miller] and Little Jack, and there are some really just gorgeous, cinematic romantic moments between them as well.”
Krakow made sure to add that the When Calls the Heart team is well aware of what the Hearties are saying. “And we hear our audience that there is a desire for them to take steps forward in their relationship, so know that we are listening, and I hope that we deliver,” the actress told Swooon.
McGarry previously teased that Nathan and Elizabeth would be “in a spot that they’ve never been before” in Season 13. He was excited about the “realm of new territory” for the couple.
