Guy Gansert didn’t find love with Joan Vassos on The Golden Bachelorette, but just over a year later, he’s gotten his happily ever after. The ER doctor confirmed his engagement to Johanna Boston on November 7.
Along with a slideshow of photos from a trip to New York City, Gansert wrote on Instagram, “@johannabostonny I guess “🎼The the Lord must be in New York City” 🍎💍.” On her own page, Boston added, “I think happiness looks good on us @guyggansert ❤️💍🫶🗽🍎.”
Gansert was the runner-up on Season 1 of The Golden Bachelorette, and Vassos, who has been engaged to Chock Chapple since filming the show in 2024, congratulated him on the news. “Congratulations, Guy! I’m so happy to hear about your engagement — what a beautiful ending to your love story’s search and the perfect beginning of forever,” she wrote. “Here’s to finding your final rose and a lifetime of laughter, joy, and endless love.”

Gansert shared details about his bride-to-be in an April Instagram post, revealing that she is the “cofounder of a fintech company and also works in the commercial retail real estate business.”
Per her LinkedIn, she has been working for JUSTDATA since 2014, first as the director of marketing and technology, then the chief marketing officer. In 2019, she helped transform the brand’s FASTCASH APP. JUSTDATA “unifies an ecosystem of retail brands that connect shoppers, students, alumni, buyers, fans, drivers, universities, and consumers,” according to its LinkedIn.
Gansert revealed that Boston used to work in the fashion industry before taking time off to raise a family. From 2018 to 2021, she took classes at The Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania, graduating with a degree in digital marketing.

Boston currently lives in Del Mar, California, where she and Gansert have “been lucky enough to share so many amazing moments together,” he revealed on Instagram. She moved there in 2023 after growing up in the New Jersey/New York City area.
